Our group of 40 enjoyed an afternoon of horseback riding and dinner around a fire, old stage coach and log cabin. There is a bar in the cabin with great margaritas and plenty of tables outside around a fire for a dinner and desserts. There are beautiful views on the tour and you will return to the starting point for... More

Outstanding morning on the mountain. We saw elk and deer along the way and our guide, Becky, kept us engaged and educated along the way. Perfect way to get a taste of history. We ranged from no riding experience to extensive experience, but 20 years ago, and the wranglers did a good job of matching us to a horse. Highly... More

I had hoped to be able to go on one of their backcountry rides, but because of the late snows and the summer season not quite being in full swing, I chose a two-hour ride, which was the longest available. When it came time to go out, I was the only person to have signed up for two hours. Rather... More

Planned a family vacation in Colorado and went online to look for a place for my family and I to do some horse back riding. Found Bearcat Stables and was very pleased with the choice we made. Staff at Bearcat stables were very professional and friendly. My family felt very comfortable with our guide and the horses they chose for... More

Our daughter jumps at any opportunity to ride a horse, so Bearcat Stables offered the perfect way to spend a morning. The hour-long trail ride with a group of five people, plus the guide, went through some lovely scenic areas, including high meadows, forests, and even past a herd of elk. Very efficient and knowledgeable staff. A first-class operation in... More

such a great thing to do if you are in Colorado. We were there last year around Valentines Day, and had a blast. Great people, wonderful ride through the beautiful snow, and the dinner was superb. Looking forward to going back!

In the Vail Valley there are quite a few dinner places that take you up the mountain on an open air "sleigh" ride, but they are mostly pulled by snow cats, making a lot of noise and you are breathing in the exhaust fumes all the way there. Bearcat Stables offers real horse drawn sleigh rides and dinner in a... More

If this wasn't one of the planned activities during our trip, I wouldn't have thought about going. However, it was fun! The guide was very knowledgeable about the area during your 25 minute ride. You'll learn a lot about Colorado's history and about horses too. The food provided after was great! However, I'm not sure it was catered by our... More

Our family took the sleigh ride (no dinner) and it was great. We have little kids in our group (all under 5) and they loved it! The views were pretty and it was great to get some info about the area and the horses from the guide. I would definitely recommend this for families in the winter. Be sure to... More
