We had a blast at their Tuesday night riding/ dinner. My 5 year-old said it was better than Disney because she got to ride a real horse :) Food was great, drinks were great and my 7 year old had a great time on her first real ride. Everyone was friendly. Great family night in CO! Thank you!!!!

Just wanted to send a personal thank you for a wonderful time I had at the stables. The horseback ride was exactly what I expected - beautiful scenery, wildlife and just so serene. Nicole was a terrific guide and with knowledge of the area and its history. I cannot thank you all for making my short vacation so memorable. The... More

Bearcat Stables offers a taste of the old west - high-country horseback riding across spectacular countryside. The friendly crew did a Great job of getting the family (mostly novice riders) saddled up and on the trail. The ride never leaves a slow-paced walk, but is a nice break from the ordinary. Definitely recommended for a family outing in Vail.

What a blast! At first I was worried about 9 year old because this was her first real trail ride and my 13 year old wasn't keen on going. But our guide Nicole put them at ease immediately and we had a wonderful 1 1/2 ride! We saw mule deer, elk, tons of birds and amazing views. This was well... More

I visited the Bearcat Stable in March of 2014 with my family of four and the visit was very over rated from the previous reviews. We took a horse drawn sled ride and this consisted of the horses pulling the sled around the cabin where dinner was served. We never got more than 75 yards from the cabin. For the... More

The Evening was truly unique, we started off by being P/U right on time in front of our Hotel by the owner himself. A short ride 10-15 minutes on snow covered roads we arrived at the cabin set back in the woods away from all the hustle and bustle. Went into the cabin purchased a few glasses of wine for... More

Our first night in Beaver Creek, we decided to do the sleigh ride with dinner at Bearcat stables. This turned out to be a fantastic experience. From the professionalism of the staff picking us up from the hotel at exactly the appointed time, to the wonderful stories told during the starlit sleigh ride through the snow, everything was above and... Our family did the sleigh ride/dinner at bearcat. I will list the pros and cons. Pros: extremely friendly staff, very nice location, cozy cabin where dinner is served. Cons: main complaint is overpriced....we paid $100.00 per person (including mandatory 20percent tip for six people or more), Sleigh ride was only 20 minutes, we did the second ride which was in... I had taken my niece here a few years back, really enjoyed the ride and would recommend it to others - its a walking ride though. if you are a experienced rider - you might want something more active. It was a nose to nose...

Beautiful ride with fun "trail boss". I apologize I can not remember her name, but she was friendly, knowledgable about the area and history! Stables are well kept and nice to know will be protected from further "developer plans" for the next 100 years!
