We always visit the Bar D when we are in the area. It is a nostalgic touchstone for us. We appreciate the quality of the musical performance in a beautiful setting.

Family friendly at it's best, Colorado cowboy style. From the scale train that carries children and adults alike around the property to the old-west gift shops and relics, this place has the sort of Roy Rogers type charm that you can't help but enjoy. The chuck wagon dinner is fantastic and the live musical review will leave you chuckling and... More

We made reservations online ahead of time, which made check in very easy. We found our seats in the dining area (we were right up front, which you’ll find out wasn’t as great as it sounds) and then took off exploring other parts of the ranch. There’s a little train that goes around, and a playground for the kids right... More

having watched so many genres of music, I can honestly say that this show is fabulous. It is no wonder that the guitar player has his picture on the front of a Mel Bay book

After reading several reviews on this site, we decided to give this dinner and show a try. I called to make the reservations and got detailed instructions over the phone. I was told that our weekend show was quite nearly sold out, so if we wanted to sit near the front AND go through the supper line near the beginning,... More

The place is beautiful but the food was a disappointment - when you pay 24 for BBQ chicken and it is a frozen type piece with BBQ sauce on it - nothing authentic about that being this is to be Chuckwagon dinner ;( the remaining dinner was very average

Very enjoyable evening. The seating and meal feeding was so orderly and easy for so many people at one time. What a system feeding all in 15 minutes. The food was good & the show was excellent - top shelf. The price is right for what you get. Remember - make reservation !

Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. At first I thought that the attraction was a bit overpriced but I was completely wrong! The meal was nice with lots of friendly people in attendance! The real highlight was the show that was presented. The four entertainers were great and each had solo parts of the show that were... We visit the Bar D everytime we go to Durango. It is hard to beat a meal and show for the price. We love the music and you are invited back for seconds if you did not get enough food the first time.

We took visiting friends over to this place and barely made it through dinner. It's picnic-style, get in line to go down to the buffet bar when you table number is called type setting. And once you finally get there, the food is horrible. We did not realize we could not even buy a glass of wine to minimize the... More
