An amazing place. Two large pools, one with a lazy river and waterside and the other with swimming lanes and diving boards. A large hot tub, climbing wall, exercise equipment and a track. Entry is open to everyone and the fees very reasonable. Locker rooms were very clean and convenient, and towels can be rented for $1.00. A great place... More

This place is only 4.50 for the day for kids and has 2 pools, diving boards, play areas, and a climbing wall. The kids had a blast and it is a fun break from the local camping.

I love this place - two beautiful pools, one warmer than the other, lots of features for small children, a hot tub, great dressing rooms, exercise machines, a track, racquet ball courts, pool tables, meeting rooms, truly a well designed facility...Best to take out an annual pass if you'll use it more than a few times...Check out the back of... This is not a water park. It's just a community pool. But it's the best I've ever seen and it's open all year. There's a LARGE water slide for the older kids and small ones for the little kids. A whirlpool area that the kids and adults loved. There are water guns, fountains and houses. And that's just one side... More

My wife and I and 2 grandkids went to the Community Rec Center, unlimited time (open to close if you want), for only like $14.00. Vending machines take quarters only, so you might want to pack a nice lunch. Lockers with locks are included. Family changing area, as well as men and women's changing areas. GREAT indoor slide, moving river,... More

We were camping in Mancos State Park, which didn't have running water so when our kids needed to be cleaned up, we took them to this rec center to play in the pool and take showers! Our kids are 10, 8 and 5 and there was something for all of them at this pool -- slides, lazy river, play for... More

This place has a wonderful water slide and children's area for swimming, as well as diving boards and lap swimming. Provided hours of entertainment for my 6 year old. Nice locker facilities too.

My family and I visited while on vacation. My children are 6 and 9. We intermingled our touristy adventures with two trips to the rec center. The exterior is very well maintained with a nice playscape. The interior of the building is clean and inviting. The price for an entire family is a little expensive at about $20 for the... More

We've found that a lot of towns in Colorado have pretty good community centers; we've been told it's because that's where the lottery money goes. Well, Durango's community center does not disappoint. It has a pretty good pool, a fitness center, and even a climbing wall. The climbing wall hours are limited, so check before you go. One entrance fee... More

Went there with my kids while on vacation. The climbing wall was great. Our pool experience was not. My kids literally jumped into the pool once before some loud and overly aggressive lifeguard blew his whistle and yelled for all kids to get out of the pool for an adult swim. I am fine with the concept of an adult... More
