We went to James Ranch on A Thursday Night for Bands and Burgers. Excellent evening. We had our 4 & 5 yo. They ran around with all the other kids. Nobody seems to mind. Sweetwater was playing bluegrass music. The food was so delicious. The owner told us she picked the vegetables a few hours ago. The burgers are outstanding.... More

You just can not beat this place. They raise their own, everything, from animals to veggies. They make their own everything and it's natural to the very soil it grows in or the grass the cows eat. They offer sandwiches and burgers on site, as well as tours. All sorts of yummy things to buy...

One of the best BLTs I have ever eaten! The food is all organic and sourced locally. The scenery surrounding the ranch is fantastic. It is a great place for families as there are two adorable goats on site which you can feed and pet.

Though I have been to Durango multiple times, I just had my first experience with James Ranch. It is easy to find. I enjoyed petting the goats. I was disappointed with the prices of the food for sale ($18 a pound for ribeye steak, $6.90 a pound for hamburger). The lady in the store was very pleasant.

I usually don't fall for the fancy grilled cheese trend, but tried theirs and it was delicious. Try it with the jelly - I realize it sounds crazy, but it is very good. The rest of the family had burgers and loved them.

If you happen to be traveling up the Million Dollar Highway (Hwy 550) from Durango, or staying in the area north of Durango, you should stop in. It is about 10 miles north of Durango, and right off of the road. The main attraction is the farm, which is organic, itself. The dining is on picnic tables in a grassy... More

We were excited to check out your ranch. Not disappointed. Chap was so helpful and we enjoyed the grass fed beef and delicious eggs from your ranch. Walking around and enjoying the beauty and learning about your families history made it even more special. You have some Happy Hens walking around to greet everyone!

We ate dinner at James Ranch on our first evening in Durango. The kids (ages 10 & 9) loved walking around and checking out the ranch. The burgers were the absolute best burgers we've ever had. Delicious!
