The first 9 holes are under major construction so it's muddy and in disarray - hard to tell where the tees boxes are. The second 9 holes is a beautiful place to play. The staff aren't overly friendly but not rude either. Strange that the cart paths aren't complete - they begin, then you drive onto the fairway then towards... More

This is not your typical public course. It was perfectly groomed, great layout, many elevation changes and variety between holes. I think the greens were running 12-14 - really fast. Of course, being that hard mid irons or better won't hold very well and don't forget at elevation you probably need less club than the distance. I found that out... More

Not sure why the repeated poor comments about the staff. They were extremely accommodating to me, especially since I wasn't prepared to play & had to gear up quickly before our round. One of the guys even loaned me his golf shoes. As for the course, if you like picturesque backgrounds, well managed greens & gorgeous deer frolicking through your... More

Very nice restaurant, an outdoor patio with beautiful views of the club and the surrounding mountains and valley...Good lunches and dinners. For golfers or non-golfers, open to the public..

Called out there 3 times. Found staff to be awful. Always doing you a favor. Called for tee time today and was made to feel like a second class citizen as non member and felt like was bothering him... Insinuating I should book online. Course and facilities sub par.

I spend my summers in Colorado to escape the Texas heat, and stay very close to this course. Usually play five or six rounds a summer. The fairways and greens are always in fantastic shape for a course that gets as much play as it does. Must have something to do with the soil and weather. Can't say much for... More

We arrived on Monday to a full parking lot and kids everywhere. When the guy working the pro shop counter finally got off the phone and acknowledged us, he just starred at us until I finally asked if they had any openings. He was very rude in explaining that some high school competition was going on, and told us to... More

I have played this course many times and every time the pro shop guys are very rude and act like they don't even want you there. I feel like I am annoying them by forcing them to stand up and take my money. And too much money at that. The course is overpriced, but is in decent shape for a... More

Made a tee time in person when we first arrived in town. The young man at the desk was very pleasant and welcoming. When we were on our way to the course there was an accident on Rte 550, so knowing we would be late we called the course to let them know. The staff was terribly rude on the... More

We had gotten shutout of the National parks ( Govt shutdown) so had time to kill and had read in Trip Advisor about Hillcrest so we took a chance and rode up the upon arrival in Durango. We were fortunate that they had a cancellation and could fit us in. The course is very busy with locals. It was cold... More
