This a a fun path to walk, but mind the hot sun in the summer as in many places there is little shade. People on bikes tend to be pretty well behaved and with dogs on leads it makes things easy.

There are little dirt trails that branch... More

Pros: long trail; great scenery along the river; asphalt surface, so it's relatively easy on the knees; well-connected to areas of the city. Cons: easy to take a wrong turn and exit the trail into a neighborhood.

Residents are blessed to live near this river. It's an award winning trout river, and wildlife abounds. The dog loved the river, and the walk goes for miles. Because I was pushing a wheelchair, there were no places, at all to exit the trail , which I though was really poorly planned.

Beautiful river walk that runs through downtown. I caught it around 7:00 when the sun was coming up over the mts. It was stunning, and got several great pix from the bridge.
