Grab a cup of joe in the morning and take a walk on the river trail. Do your soul some good! It is sooo relaxing. What else can you say?

The River Trail runs all through Durango along the river's path. We walked just short select areas of the trail and found it both enjoyable and scenic. Would have loved to had more time to explore the whole Trail.

If you like to river raft then this is where you want to go if you have kids. Has rapids but not too bad, lots of fun in tubes. Has places to fish and swim. There are some sandy beaches as well. Water is usually cold though takes a little bit of getting used too as it comes from mountain... More

I loved walking this trail. It is everything an urban hike should be. Businesses were accessible and nature was nearby.

Great trail to walk or ride your bike. There is nothing to dislike. You can walk to restaurants or downtown.

Easy access to a quiet and scenic river trail. Well maintained path and bridges offer nice walking opportunities in town with great views of area and river.

Love the views of the river, the Durango & Silverton Railroad, and the easy access to downtown attractions. A fun walk and a great bike path. Plenty of access points available.

The Animas River Trail is a trail that I wish was by my house in SC. The trail offers access to the Animas river for fly fishing. The trail is wonderful for walking and bike riding. If you like to ride, walk or fish don't miss this trail when you are in Durango.

This is an absolutely beautiful trail (concrete path) along the river. It is spectacular during the fall with all the colors of the leaves and the river flowing along. Would do this path every day if I lived here!

Easy access to the trails, wide enough trails to accommodate walkers, bikers and runners, gorgeous views of the fall foliage, river and train!
