Hiking with the fur babies.

Amazing hiking in this part of the country, if you have dogs that like to run, take them, it's leash free hiking. Awesome! This hike is quite a challenge, bring lots of water.

Took the Rim Trail/Campus Loop because we wanted to see the campus. So glad we did because the view from the top is absolutely awesome. If we had more time, we could have hiked. If you are visiting Durango, be sure to at least drive up to the top.

We did this hike as we were on vacation in Durango. The weather was hot, so we made sure we had plenty water, and walking shoes were a must, as the trail is uneven and steep. It takes around 20 mins. a little out of breath, but at the top, it's worth the hike. The views are wow! Downtown and... More

Worth a hike on a nice summer day, especially on the Fourth of July for a good spot to view the fireworks...Take a bottle of water and a hiking staff...You'll end up on the campus of Fort Lewis College.

I've been on this trail a bit while visiting my son and his wife, and it always is a great way to see a sunrise or sunset. The mountain biking here is not too tough, so anyone can enjoy it, and as the world's worst technical mountain biker, I can attest to this. As a hike, there's some pretty stuff... More

Very scenic views of the town, the mountains, and even met a little deer in the parking lot. Got some great pictures.

You can drive up to Fort Lewis College and sit around the edge of the trail (there are benches in several spots) and watch the sun set on the mountains and Durango below. It was so pleasant, we actually went up 2 nights in a row. We have fairly little kids, so we didn't actually hike the trail, just enjoyed... More

A short, steep, narrow trail from 5th street up to the Fort Lewis College campus...Beautiful views of town and the mountains...IF you go at night definitely take a flashlight and strongly suggested as well is a hiking staff. A good place to watch the 4th of July fireworks...

You can hike up the Nature Trail which starts at the corner of E. 6th Avenue and 10th Street in Durango. At the top of the nature trail, you will be right beside the Ft Lewis campus chapel and the view is to die for!! Or, if you aren't up for a 20 minute hike, just drive up to the... More
