Loved the skiing and the room, but the beds were awful!

We've been skiing here for many (25+) years and love staying at the lodge and condos on the mountain. Great trails and skiing. The people here are so nice (except for the two... read more

If you are heading to Durango, be sure to visit donna Abner (donna the ski bike lady) she is absolutely the best. If you always wanted to ski but can't because of injury such as knee, back ect the snowbike is for you. Take my word for it, I'm living proof. I have a very bad back injury and I... More

So much fun, varied terrain lots of whoops and rollers, natural half pipes. Decent trees. Not huge, but something for everyone. My only slight complaint is there is a Looongg traverse to get to the back side. But it was worth the trip. Going back for sure

I was up skiing on 1/23 and 1/25. The conditions are excellent with a good base level of snow. The new high speed lift is a welcome addition. The resort does a great job of grooming many of the intermediate runs and they leave the expert runs alone.

Purgatory is a great name, depending on the conditions it is either heaven or hell. We got lucky this time, it was amazing. This is a great cruising mountain with enough tough stuff to keep everyone happy. But... There are three high speed chairs. 1) Great access to the front side. Wide variety of terrain choices. The only real choice... More

This was the first place I ever went skiing. A great place to learn and a very fun, family atmosphere. This is not the most exciting place to ski, but it was a great place to cut my teeth before moving on to Keystone, Aspen and Breckinridge.

We've been skiing here for many (25+) years and love staying at the lodge and condos on the mountain. Great trails and skiing. The people here are so nice (except for the two girls checking in the rental equipment, very unhelpful and hateful). The workers on the mountain are very helpful with young beginners. We loved the condo, and were excited... More

Having skied on 70+ mountains in North/South America and Europe, Purgatory is average. Just too many intersections and blind corners. Good for locals and Texans.

Of course the skiing is amazing and the resort beautiful, but its the guys and gals standing out in the cold directing cars and pedestrians that are the real heroes. We were impressed with their friendliness and efficiency under challenging conditions. I drove every day to drop off my family members and they were wonderful. When white- out conditions made... We had wonderful snow and perfect skiing. Not overly crowded. Purgy's was excellent for drinks and food. Several area to grab a bite. Prices were very reasonable by ski standards.
