Snow Bummer

Very bummed because they were closed. We called ahead and they said they would still be open but they were not. Very unfortunate.

We have a coupon for the summer activities at this place that says "Valid August 17 - September 27, 2015. Activities open 9am-5pm." No mention that the activities are only open on weekends. We took a day off work and drove over an hour to get there only to find out they're not open. Very disappointing!

Our family loved the alpine slide!!! The kids used the day pass to ride the slide all day, play putt putt golf and more.

We had 6 adults and had heard Durango mountain resort had lots of fun activities for the summer. Only thing for adults was the ski lift and alpine slide for my college kids. Beautiful scenery from ski lift but not what we had hoped

We went in July to experience the Alpine Slide with our kids and ended up spending hours in line because they were so slow to load and the lift to the top moved so slow. They were loading both mountain bikers and those riding the slide on the same lift and the lift itself was just very slow so it... More

This was a great value resort. The skiing and accommodations were very affordable (we stayed for a week). We were fortunate enough to get 50+ inches of fresh powdery snow during our week and the skiing and conditions were fabulous! Employees and service were great. We skied a couple of days and then took a day to go see Four... More

Summer at Durango Mountain is a nice escape. The alpine slide has been one of my kids favorites since they were small and we rode with them. As teenagers now, we sit and enjoy a drink, the view, and a burger, while they take the ski lift up to the alpine slide and zip line. There's also an obstacle course... More

This is a great resort, formerly known as Purgatory. They are children friendly, and offer summer and winter activities. Summer being: scenic chairlift ride, alpine slide, bull ride, hiking, biking, adventure course, water bubbles, bungee jump, zip line, and a sluice box. Winter being: horse drawn sled, skiing, and tubing. There is a class called snow-burners for littler children learning... More

We stopped by here on our way up Highway 550. What a treat! It was a beautiful summer day and we had lunch on the patio. We shopped in the few stores on the plaza and did the Alpine Slide. What a fun interlude! There were many activities for kids to partake in; it looked like a great place for... More

We rode the ski lift to the top for a look around. Perfect way to spend a few hours. Then took advantage of comfy chairs at the bottom to people watch. Lots of kids doing summer activities. My daughter wanted to ride the toboggan sleds down the mountain but line was slow and long, so we passed. It looked fun,... More
