For $10 a person, board the scenic lift (chair #4) at the foot of Durango Mountain Resort for glorious, incredible mountain views. Pick a sunny morning, the earlier the better, and hustle your bustle up to the resort. Board the lift to the top of #4, dismount and pick a trail. Keep an eye out for mountain bikes and vehicles...We... More

We stopped here on our way to Ouray so our little one (6 years old) could let off some steam from our long car ride. There is much to do here in the summer at this traditional ski lodge and resort. There was bungee jumping, the Alpine Ski Ride, lots of high rope challenges and zip lines, bouncing houses, etc.... More

So much to do! Alpine slide was awesome! My kids Had a blast! The food was terrible, but the activities were awesome! Next time we will have a picnic, that we packed, on the side of the mountain. It's beautiful.

My family went to Durango Mountain Resort in July 2014. We were excited for all the different activity options; however, when we were there most of the activities were closed due to weather. I understand closing for weather, but they do not offer refunds on activities already purchased that close while you are waiting in line. For the activities that... More

Went there to ride the alpine slide. I was surprised at how much was going on there. There were lots of activities for families.

Unfortunately, we went at a time when the weather was not cooperative. The whole place shuts down when there is thunder/lightning. Of course it's for safety so shutting down is a necessity. We got there in the morning and I got to do the Zipline ($15). The Zipline is 13 seconds long so it's a good first-timer kind of zipline.... More

I ended up here against my wishes, mainly due to the attractiveness of the summer activities to my 7 year old son. He had a great time, but the cost is pretty steep ($10 per activity at best). The bottom line is that, after spending time here, I simply don't comprehend the need to spend the money and time doing... More

We (four adults) spent a day at DMR and had a great time. The scenic view from the chairlift is inspiring---lots of opportunities for great photo shots. The alpine slide was a blast, even for a senior citizen! Two people in our group did the zipline. It isn't very high or long so it is good for a beginner. We... More

DMR had great activities for the kids - alpine slide, ropes course, zip line, etc. Although not inexpensive, pricing was lower than at many larger resorts. The pool and hot tub were fun (a member of our group was a member - I'm not sure about public access). The only cons are a shortage of restaurants and the staff at some... More
