Every thing from zip lines to mountain slides for all ages. Prices average about 15 bucks per attraction. You can by a 5 admission pass 49. Good food, shops, and beautiful scenery. If you do nothing but sit under the mountain it is worth the trip.

We stopped in the Durango Mountain//Purgatory area for two nights on our way back home from Vail because we had been there before and the kids wanted to spend some time in the area on the Alpine Slide, etc. We did not stay in any of the resort accommodations there so I can't speak to that aspect of the area.... We stayed here before and after our hut to hut mountain bike trip (via San Juan Hut Systems). The resort had plenty to do and see. There were plenty of families and groups of families. I wish that I had taken more advantage of the downhill mountain biking. The condos were clean and well stocked. The only thing that the... More

I stayed here for 7 nights - it's a great value with an easy going atmosphere - and plenty of things to do. Room was very comfortable and homey - the staff are nice - did a riding trip at Bucks livery across the road - about 1 minute from DMR - awesome experience. Food here is ok - but... More

Family had a great time, and we would go back again any time. Plenty of mountain activities to keep everyone happy. Kids really loved the alpine slide and hiking the ski runs.

This is the perfect family, summer getaway! Been coming up here for 3 years now to escape the Texas heat. Always cooler up here than the town of Durango. Easy to get to Silverton and Ouray and nearby trails and lakes. The best part is the quiet, small environment here....perfect for our tweens to walk around the base area and... More

My husband and I stayed here a few nights. Our room was very nice and clean and peaceful. .. until the second night. I guess the place filled up and a little noise is expected but my husband and I had a long way home the next day and at 1 am there was still stomping and loud noises coming... More

Just got back after spending the week. I was worried after reading the reviews about the issues with the summer activities. My son enjoyed them over 2 days with little or no waiting. He did several activities over and over. Our one bedroom was perfect for the three of us. We enjoyed the resort to the fullest. It was very... More

I bought my kids and I the summer value ticket earlier today. We were all so excited!!! We purchased the pass (5 rides) at 1:00. We didn't even come close to getting 5 rides on the alpine slide in 4 hours because the thing was so poorly managed! Such a disappointment!!! We were only driving through, so it was a... More

The alpine slide is a must do. The zipline was fun, but a long wait. The ropes course is a lot harder then it looks. The miniature golf uphill was challenging. Panning was loads of fun, finding loads of treasures.
