I am the father of two competitive skiers (ages 8 and 10) and have been blessed with the opportunity to ski most ski resorts in the upper Midwest and many in Colorado and Utah. I have to say that I understand why Purgatory frequently receives the accolades it well deserves. The resort offers excellent terrain, great on mountain food and... More

The room was fantastic. It was more like an apartment than a hotel room. We were steps away from the slopes so it was perfect to come & go. Although we didn't bring our family, we will definitely be back with all of them as this was a very family friendly place. It was also great for just a couple... More

I am a mother of four, my children range from 14 to 9 months. This trip was awesome! I had never left my 9month old with anyone, so I was really worried about how she would do. The staff, they were angels sent from above! So patient and supportive. They really made my vacation a dream come true. I was... More

With the lack of snow in CA this winter, we were looking for a spot that was family friendly and affordable in CO. We loved our long weekend on Durango Mountain. The snow and sunshine added to the great time, with a mountain full of greens and blues, and just under 11,000 feet for beautiful mountain views. We never waiting... More

My family has made this a once-a-year pilgrimage since before the kids started school. The kids are now 17 and 20 and three of us just returned from a 2-day, 2-night trip. Our oldest snow-boards and the rest of us ski. We tend to prefer steep groomed slopes and avoid the moguls. Over the years we've experienced the entire range... More

On our first drive-thru, we met a very helpful skier services person who showed us around. we asked about the closest parking which is very close to the ski area entrance. He told us about the parking up near the main lifts which would have required a lot of walking in ski boots, tho there are wagons to carry your... More

My first skiing experience was here and I have enjoyed it very much! Great instructors and plenty of beautiful slopes to learn how to ski. My family members are more experienced and loved it even more! Even though it was a very busy weekend, you hardly notice it on the mountain. Beautiful surroundings, lots of snow (especially that first weekend... More

My wife and I have been skiing at Durango Mountain every February for the past 8 years or so. The ski area is perfect for us as it has a lot of excellent intermediate level runs, which are very well maintained. The views are great, the people are very helpful and friendly, the mountain is not crowded and lift lines... More

We like skiing at DMR and had good snow. We stayed at the Angelhaus Condos and can not recommend it - dated old building - and dated condo room.

We had a party of 5 snow boarders for Presidents Day weekend. I expected it to be very busy. We stayed overnight in downtown Durango and visited the shops on main street before we headed up to Purgatory on Saturday afternoon. Check in time was 3pm for our Condo, so we arrived right at 3pm, checked in and went over... More
