My two kids, ages 8 and 10, and I did the 1-hour trail ride in the morning and it was wonderful! Everyone was very friendly at the corral and the horses were lovely. The trail ride took us through the mountain forest, up and down hills, nothing too difficult and we're all beginners. It was the first time either of... More

There is a corral at mile marker 42 on highway 550 north of Durango, CO named Rapp Corral. Two of my grandsons, my daughter-in-law and I took one of their two hour horse back rides which included visiting an ancient cave. Our guide was very helpful in learning about the area including a bit of the history. The horses are... More

My family recently booked horse riding with Rapp Corral and had a great time. Faith was our guide and she was very pleasant and knowledgeable . We usually ride horses on all our yearly family vacations so we have some experience with this activity and their horses are the best we've ever had--very calm and easy to ride. The whole... More

It's been a few years, but I can say that each of my rides with Rapp Corral was an experience I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. The mountain scenery was spectacular and riding through the aspen forest was an unforgettable pleasure. Ann Rapp and her family take great care to make sure every rider's experience is... More

We took a two hour ride; me, my 13 year old daughter, and 15 year old son. We had no riding experience. Sarah, our guide, made it a great experience for us all. The horses were wonderful and the scenery beautiful. Sarah conncected with all of us but was particularly caring with my daughter. Thank you so much, Rapp Corral.

We did the 2 hour cave ride ($80/per person) today and it was great! My 6 year old, 9 year old, husband and I are all beginners to horseback riding and our wrangler, Jenn, made sure we were all comfortable and safe the whole time. The horses were well trained, the ride through the San Juan National Forrest was beautiful... More

Took a large bunch of minimum experienced kids on the 2 hour cave ride and and a great time. Sarah and Jenn were expert wranglers, were very attentive and personable. Kids enjoyed it and their horses handled well. Our wranglers told us about their "famous" horses that had been in multiple movies and the kids were very excited, what horses,... More

Having worked in the business in western Wyoming after I retired I wanted to show my 40 year old son what it was like to see the Rockies from on top of a horse. I contacted the Rapp Corral after seeing them featured on a travel short on TV. Anne was very accommodating considering my tight travel schedule across the... More
