My first time coming to this location for a massage and I wished I scheduled more time to soak after! The easy location caught me off guard and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely surroundings. I had a deep tissue massage and it was wonderful and really worked out my sore spots we discussed before I walked in. Staff was... More

I go here all the time- the punch passes are a good deal for locals. Ryan is by far the best massage therapist I've ever gotten a massage from. The sauna is comfortable and really gets humid. The backyard sitting area is a nice place to read or cool off. All in all a great experience. The one downside- sometimes gets... More

I arrived in Durango after a full day of travel and kinks in my back. The next day I booked a massage and found the experience to be healing in so many ways. Upon entering Amaya, there is a sense of calm and simplicity. The friendly reception included a cool glass of spring water and a greeting from my masseuse who... More

Amaya offers alot! I was only looking for some mountain hot water soaking and was advised to try Amaya for convenience and good pricing. This will now be a regular on my visits to Durango. The staff was friendly and helpful...there are even swim suits there to use if you failed to pack one. Two tubs: biggest one has hot... More

This is a sweet little house that's been nicely converted to a small spa with massage rooms in front and lockers and showers in the back. The backyard has a garden area and a large wood covered deck with a cold plunge and hot tub...both wood and Japanese in aesthetic. There is a step down into a large sauna. The... More

Everyone was quite friendly and reflected the relaxing feel of the place. Great hot/cold tubs and sauna. The massages and luxuries (robe, tea, lockers) were greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend for a relaxing day.

My husband and I went up to Durango for the weekend. He has never gotten a massage so I wanted this experience to extra special for him. Well it was....for him. The guy at the front counter was especially nice to my husband but was completely rude to me. He gave us both robes to change into and a tour... More

This is a little piece of heaven in the midst of a rustic Western Colorado town. Immediately when you enter Amaya, the world and its concerns disappear. The atmosphere of calm and peace extend to the garden and hot tub area. The oak tubs--hot and cold--are roomy and comfortable. The garden is beautiful and private. I walked in on a... More
