Had an amazing time with our guide Dooley! He took us on the most beautiful trails! We did the 3 hour trip and it went by so fast. Some say the trails are bumpy, but hey, your going up a mountain! It wasn't that bad at all. Our first trip was last year, and we thought it was the best.... More

Staff was great, unfortunately their tour was not. We arrived on site and they provided ski pants goggles helmets etc which was a plus!Just after taking off on the tour we had to go back to base because a small child was scared and no longer wanted to ride. Once we got back on the trails they were very bumpy,... More

We're glad to read your experience with our staff was great. Part of what makes them so awesome is that if there are guests uncomfortable enough that they prefer to end their tour the guide will do his or her best to get them back to base camp as soon as possible. We're not in the business of forcing people... More

We did a package with the Ice Pirates & Silverton/Durango Railroad. Totally beautiful views the entire day and a ton of fun snowmobiling.

If in Durango/Purgatory and wanting some snowmobiling, make your way to Molas Pass and use these guys. Better price and I guarantee a better experience. A lot of open back country trail led by true tour guides. Got a thorough briefing before we took off, did a test loop to make sure all were comfortable, and kept a good pace.... More

I live in Durango, and recently used this company to take visiting guests out for a snowmobile tour. There are several outfits you can choose from, but this one certainly has the upper hand for multiple reasons - 1. location - Get past Purgatory to Molas pass, which allows for breathtaking panoramic mountain scenery 2. customer service - superb. They... More

My daughter had her best friend from College visiting, so we were sitting around thinking of something cool to do on a cold wintery day (but sunny). We had heard about these guys through the grapevine, so we called, and they were nice enough to fit us in even though we couldn't make it up there (Molas Pass) in time... More

This was my second time (and definitely my last) using Ice Pirates Snowmobile Tours. The group consisted of 10+ people (which in my opinion is too many) over half of which had never been on a snowmobile before... That being said, over an hour of the 2 hour tour that I paid for (3 single sleds & 1 double) was... More

While we are so glad to hear you were a return guest with an awesome first adventure, we are sorry to learn that you did not enjoy your second time with Ice Pirates because of another family in your group snowmobile tour. It's always our goal to run the best trips we possibly can with whatever conditions are thrown our... More

I was recently on a road trip with my girlfriend and two friends visiting from Peru. We went though south west CO, stopping in Durango, Silverton, and Ouray. In Silverton we wanted to get out into the mountains and do some off-routing. At first we thought about renting a Jeep as we have one at home, then maybe the Polaris... More

This was our first time on snowmobiles and our guides made it a very pleasant experience. We had a 3-hour tour and both my wife and I had our own snowmobiles. It was late in the season, but it was still fun as the guides knew all the best slopes to visit. There are plenty of spots where the guides... More

Our family of 4, including 2 kids age 8 and 10 took the 3 hour tour over Spring Break. We all had a blast and Lizzie and Eric were very accommodating, including changing our reservation from 11 am to 8 am so that we could squeeze another afternoon on the mountain. Great trails and views throughout the tour. It was... More
