We did the train ride, and snowmobile adventure package. The weather on Friday, Feb 27th was truly a winter day. It started snowing during the train ride, and continued the rest of the day. We were picked up in Rockwood, and transported to the Ice Pirates. When we arrived our guide was very helpful in getting everyone fitted for helmets... More

we had a half day ride combined with riding the snow train--our guide, dave, picked us up at rockford, and drove us to the base camp--we were outfitted with safety equipment, and given instructions on operation of the machines--the snowmobiles were well-used, but well maintained--mine trashed it's drive belt, but dave carried a spare, and changed it out in a... We ventured up on a slippery, snowy morning for the 11am four hour tour. The road was plowed, snow packed (chain law in effect for commercial vehicles) but driveable. Directions that were given to us were perfect!! The hut was heated and warm enough to fill out the paperwork, pick a helmet and change if needed. I would recommend going... More

We booked a 3 hour trip and I'll have to say we had a BLAST! If you're into adventure this is for you. Our Guide took good care of us and I never knew riding a snowmobile would be this much fun. The scenery is just breath taking. Can't thank the staff enough for showing us a good time.

I was just recently in Colorado with my family for this past Christmas and I have to say this snowmobile place has horrible customer service. My family and I were looking forward to snowmobiling, but the morning of our tour we could not get to the place for our tour because our roads were not plowed and there was even... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Ice Pirates. We are sorry you interpret the implementation of our cancellation policy as horrible customer service. Cancellation policies are difficult for both parties; it's never a pleasant conversation. We are very conscientious about informing our guests about our standard and transparent cancellation policy, at the time of their reservation over the... More

HOWEVER--they really need to update their equipment. Very nice guide, very knowledgeable and patient. The scenery was really breathtaking at times and we were never cold in the beautiful Colorado sunshine. The equipment was my only disappointment.

My girlfriend and I did the package with the Durango train ride to Cascade Canyon followed by a two hour snowmobiling tour. We had an awesome experience and the scenery in Molas Pass was unbelievable. Our guide Erik (who is also the owner) was great and the snowmobiles worked perfectly. You can tell that Erik is very passionate about what... More

Our group of 6 adults (Ages 45 to 60) took the 2 hour tour and had a FABULOUS time! The trail was well groomed so the beginners in our group stayed on the trail while the more experienced riders ventured out a little into the waist deep powder. The snowmobiles were comfortable and easy to manage, the scenery breathtaking, and... More

For my 30th birthday we went with a group of four and were treated to one of the most amazing experiences of my life. They were quick to evaluate our skills on snowmobiles and gave us extra time and trails to make it even better. I proudly rock their hoodie and ballcap here in Texas and look forward to booking...
