My mom is visiting Durango from Louisiana and we had never been rafting before. We did the economy trip on the Lower Animas to give it a try. Mike "Deep Dish" was our guide and we highly recommend him. He was full of information about Durango and the Animas River. We learned some basic rafting skills and now my mom... More

We were the first customers of the season and the only customers that day, so we enjoyed basically a private jeep tour. It was a chilly, drizzly day, so thankfully an enclosed vehicle was substituted for a jeep. Our tour guide, Frank Miller, is a local native and was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He made the trip a real adventure!... More

My wife and I recently took a half-day raft trip down the Lower Animas River. There had been lots of snow in the mountains, so the river was running near 2000 cfs. We are what is sometimes called "an elderly couple" so guides will assume that we want to take it easy on the water. Not the case for us.... More

My husband and I went on a jeep trail tour on Memorial Day weekend. It exceeded our expectations!! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable! We truly felt cared for and his was able to answer all of our questions. Next time, we will be bringing our kids! It was neat to see everything from such a high altitude...and to be... More

Mild to Wild is awesome!! We rafted the upper Piedra, which is beautiful with amazing scenery and Class 4 rapids. It was perfect for my adventurous 13 year old son. The guides are friendly, competent and very enthusiastic which adds to the fun! They prepared a fabulous lunch mid-way and built a fire so we could warm up. All-in-all it... More

we were on the 2nd trip of this season, jeep and train trip. Jeb, our guide was a real cool dude, he was on time at pick up, the snow started coming down on our bus trip up thru the mountains to Silverton, but Jeb wasn't bothered as he generally chatted away to us. Silverton was still relatively shut down... More

My husband and I had a fabulous time on our rafting trip with our guide, Ben. We took the half day lower Animas river trip and highly recommend it! The staff was top notch from the first moment of contact until the day we left Durango, willing to help with any other excursions. They provided everything needed for the rafting... More

I recently traveled to the Southwest for the first time, with my wife. We have always wanted to go to Mesa Verde and we are so glad that we did the small guided tour with Mild to Wild. Our guide was from the area and was very knowledgable and friendly. He took us through the park in a virtual timeline,... More

My wife Stacy and I visited Durango and decided on a Spring rafting excursion to celebrate her birthday. So glad we did! We had such a great time with Mild to Wild, and our Guide Don had excellent skills, knew a lot about the area, and he was a hoot! Definitely glad we opted for wetsuits and neoprene booties, as...
