We stayed at Mueller for three days in June of '07 and we hated to leave! I would recommend this place to anyone. It is close enough to Colorado Springs and all the attractions there. I would go back there in a minute. We saw a lot of wildlife including a black bear (it was across the ridge) and many... more

A trip to the Pike's Peak area of Colorado is just not complete without a trip to Mueller State Park. Surrounded by mountain meadows and snow-melt creeks, the park road is a fairly steep climb to the summit where a really nice Visitor Center is located. This is where you will see an unbelievable view of at least ten mountain... more

We went to Mueller State Park in Colorado the last week of August and were very pleased at how nice it was. We had great weather and had no insect problems. The bathroom and laundry facilities were very nice and clean. We enjoyed the hiking trails and there were a lot of campsites to pick from. Our fifth wheel is... more

This is a beautful state park. The camp sites in Grouse Meadow are near elevation 9500 ft. Numerous hiking trails and some spectacular views. A lot of the camp sites are pull thrus and the restrooms near the sites are pits (vaults), however they were very clean. There's real toilets at the main comfort station, where the showers are. On... more

I've hiked dozens and dozens of trails in parks in half the states in the US, and these trails are the best-marked of any I've ever encountered. One never guesses which trail is intersected, or which direction one's heading. There are trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels; there are wonderful views all around; and there are helpful people in... more

This place encompasses all that is expected in a Colorado camping experience. Forests, meadows, amazing views, lots of trails, abandon cabins, afternoon rains and dark skies full of stars. It is rumored that there is lots of wildlife, but honestly we didn't see much...and we were trying, but no doubt it's around. We had walk-in tent site #109. Great site... more

My family stayed here in late July of 07 for three nights. The views are amazing, the facilities are clean and well kept, and the trails are incredible. If you love to hike, this place has dozens of trails to keep you busy! But make sure you are acclimated to the altitude before attempting to hike, this place is at... more

Mueller is a wonderful place to camp with beautiful views of Pike's Peak. The campground is probably the quietest I have experienced in my 30 years of Colorado camping, and definitely one of the cleanest and well maintained. It fills up quickly, especially on the weekends so be sure to make a reservation. We stayed on the top of the... more

We loved this park so much we skipped RMNP and stayed here longer. Mueller is a very large park with the campground starting 5 minutes after you enter the park. The ride is beautiful. The altitude is quite high here (9600 feet). It was quite cool even during the day. Nights can be very chilly. There are bears in the... more
