Went here on the recommendation of my UBER driver. Great place. Gets going around 9. The venue is super-small and there were several couples practicing their dance moves so sitting at the bar gives you the best seat for watching the band. The bar is CASH ONLY but the apple martinis were only $6.

Great jazz, shots of tequila, and friends and family make this place the ideal hangout a few days before my sister got married in Denver. We were expecting a dive bar, and it was but in the best possible sense of the word. The music was fantastic, the bar kept us happy and liquored up, and the scene was mixed... More

Do not go for the wine list or for the ambiance or for the clean bathrooms. The jazz is authentic and right in front of you.

We like going here before the Rockies games as the drinks are about half the price of the surrounding bars. It is a colorfull clientel which keeps the tourists away. The green chili is great and cheap. Most people dont even know they have it. The locals will help you get tickets if you need them. After the game the... More

Went in here after an Avalanche game. We were from Boston and made more friends in this place. Met all sorts of people and listened to a jazz band. We had an absolute great time! If any of you read this, give me a shout!

Don't expect candlelit tables, a gorgeous hostess, or a wide wine variety! What you should expect is An iconic jazz club synonymous with great music, atmosphere, and lots of history. The alcohol is (not cheap) but affordable. The place hasn't been renovated since it was first built . . . there is a leather liner above the bar, circa.1970s (if... More

We wandered in here having heard the stories of its jazz history, and all the legends who have performed here. We were the only customers on a Wednesday night. The bartender was gruff, the beer was flat and the only music was rap on the juke box. The place lived up to its "dive" reputation, but not in a positive... More

Lloyd the bartender is awesome! We heard great jazz music being played over a couple drinks. The place is a dive but the character is awesome. I'll go back for sure!

This was a total spontaneous stop -- I saw 2 homeless guys loudly arguing on the sidewalk by the front door, thought the placed looked like a total dive (really out of place in this trendy area) and we decided we had to check the place out. It's a step back in time - just an old bar and a... More

Great spot for a drink and great jazz!! My boyfriend and I drove by a few different places our first night in Denver, and decided that El Chapultepec seemed like the best spot for us! Our first visit ever to Denver and am very glad we chose to go here!! the bartender was extremely nice, as was the band! Great... More
