Pretty little area near Denver State Capitol and the Civic Center.

We took the free 16th Street Mall bus from downtown to the bus depot just a short walk to this park. The day we visited, the Denver Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon was going on, so... read more

We took the free 16th Street Mall bus from downtown to the bus depot just a short walk to this park. The day we visited, the Denver Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon was going on, so there was music and fun too. We were able to stroll around a bit and people watch while getting to see the Denver State... This was, at least when I was younger, the place to go to get offers of pretty much any kind of drug you can imagine. I don't know if the legal MJ trade has put a dent into the local entrepreneurs, as they don't tend to approach me now that I'm older, have short hair, and apparently look like a... More

Civic Center park is the beautiful crown jewel of downtown Denver. On any given Tuesday or Thursday during the spring and summer, and even into fall, you can enjoy Civic Center Eats- a consortium of food trucks, music and lunch crowds that will lift your spirits. Enjoy the beautiful gardens planted throughout the park as you look at the capital... More

Beautiful area flowers, trees etc. The sunset is very pretty as well. The parking is not great, but a great spot to just sit and look around.

The buildings really come to life as the sunrises and sets. Nice centralized park with a great downtown vibe. Lots of parking but none for free.

Parking is always going to be difficult during the work week and during events, but the times that I have gone here I have always lucked out. Additionally, street parking is cheap but you can only park for two hours at a time during Prime hours.

Park may be a big word for it but is is a very pretty "square" with great photos opportunity. It close to the Capitol, the Museum of Art, the Library. There is a very pretty "gate" with colones on one side, two awesome statues by Remington. A few homeless people but the weather was good and in the middle of... More

This is a great park to visit if there's a festival you'd like to see. Otherwise, it is full of people panhandling and drug users. It's really just a pathway from downtown to either the art museum, the library or the capitol building.

A well maintained, well laid out, and beautiful area. The flower beds were in bloom, even though it was early autumn when we visited. The grassy area and benches made for good places to picnic and the food trucks from 11:00 till 2:00 offered so much variety of foods to choose from(including lobster and many ethnic offerings) that the entire...
