There is always something going on there, especially during the summer months. There are festivals almost every weekend, with plenty different ways to spend your money. Within the park you can see the State Capital building, the City and County Bldg., and is about a block away from the 16th Street Mall bus depot. Or you could head west and... More

On Tuesdays, check out Civic Center Eats, a weekly food truck extravaganza where you can eat Venezuelan arepas and everything else. In August, come watch world-class cyclists from around the globe speed past the park in the peloton during the Pro Cycling Challenge,... More

Great place for festivals, and a mid-day break if you work Downtown Denver. A lot of places to commune with nature in the center of activity adjacent to the central business district, in the midst of all the government activities.

Historically located between several streets, this large body-strewn lawn of a park used to bestow a free contact high just from a brisk walk-across. Since Colorado voters accidentally joke-voted in mass, while ironically stoned, to legalize recreational marijuana in 2008, however, the haze has lifted because, and I quote a park regular, "it's just not that fun anymore. Hey, you... More

I go to Civic Center Park all the time for lunch breaks. It has a view of the Capital as well as the Civic Center. Very pleasant.

I recently had the opportunity to view Civic Center Park. It is a wonderful venue for seeing state capital of Colorado. There was a festival going on and I was amazed at how very well organized it was, and how clean the park was being kept with such a large number of people.
