Lots of homeless hanging around lots of people drinking very bad for the image. Of the city the police should clean that up. Lots of people selling pot in that park l would stay away. From that place no good

I recently took a tour in Denver, and along the way we walked through Civic Center Park. It was really beautiful, and I was surprised to discover all the historic landmarks, some of which I had never noticed driving by before.

Probably one of my favorites happening at Civic Center Park (CCP) is Civic Center Eats during the summer. 30 plus food trucks lined up along the park... SO many to choose from! CCP also hosts free yoga sessions on Wednesdays, film nights once a week during the summer (I forget which night it is) and other events throughout the summer!... More

Quite and good place to walk. Small place to drink coffee. We walked around the city hall - Very nice weather spring time. Visit Together with Denver zoo or natural and science museum.

We walked around the park at night for the holiday lights, which were wonderful! You can ride the free 16th street mall shuttle to get around downtown very easily.

The Civic Center Park has tons of things to see and explore all within 5-10 minutes of walking. If your in the area @ the Capital or Art Museum, no reason to not take a 15 minutes stroll. It's quite possible, if it's the weekend, that something is taking place here (this weekend is a marathon). This is Colorado though,... More

The design of the park is spot on. The Capitol building on one end and the Denver City & County Building on the other end .A 25,000 square foot grassy area with wonderful flower beds, large shade trees and sitting benches lie between the two stately buildings. Flanked on the sides by a Greek Amphitheatre and the McNichols Civic Center,... More

Traffic in this area during the day is a nightmare but we found curbside parking about a block away from the park. The architecture is fantastic and the gardens are lovely. There has been some reviews covering street people that hang out in this area but we felt safe here during the day and again when we went back that... More

Great park....ever since the 99% protested smells a bit like piss! Been to several special events there, and it's always a good time. Just saw the Pro Challenge bike fest and couldn't complain. Year-Round events great for the family! Great events to bike too, and enjoy some good beers. However, if there's not a special event, stay away. You'll get... More

Walked from 16th st pavillion on a beautiful Thursday ( & Tuedays) for the food truck lunches. Neat way to experience Denver food and see the pretty grounds. Could see the Capital Building. Was crowded but not overly. Guess it helped for the homeless to blend in as others have written about. Did see some laying around by the fountain.
