I knew very little about Clyfford Still before this visit. This purpose built museum provides an excellent overview of the man and his art. He was a leading light in the abstract expressionist movement of the 20th century. We enjoyed his story, the art and the beautiful built in Denver to house it. This museum is suitable for art lovers... More

Have been a member here since it opened -- Clyfford Still did so much work there are always different paintings or drawings to display. Plus the building is magnificent. It is the perfect small museum.

If you can get to the Clyfford Still Museum before January 10, do so. The current exhibit, "Replicas," is one of the best small exhibits I've seen. By pairing two similar canvases, the viewers are invited to evaluate their response and the basis of their own subjective judgement of art. It makes for a much more interactive visit, especially with... More

We actually went to the Clyfford Still Museum a while back, but I just noticed that I had not completed my review. This was an incredible experience. The museum has many works by the artist, and it has arranged them in a way that makes it seem as if you are growing with the artist as you travel through his... More

This was a very interesting place which holds the largest collection of Clyfford Still's art. It isn't very big, but was worth the visit to learn about an artist I really had not known about before.

It's quite an experience to visit a museum with just one artist's work and to get such a sense of the range and interests of this artist. I highly recommend a visit!

I love to go to the museum - it is always a treat. The architecture is actually more interesting than the majority of the artworks. (Just my opinion)

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Still Museum. The interpretation added new insight into the iconic artwork that defines Still's mature artwork with the jagged color fields. And there are plenty of large canvas with subtle variations on what was an almost single minded theme. But there's more than just that type of work. There's plenty of early and formative... More

A small museum focused on a single artist, Clyfford Still, who sold few of his paintings and worked and reworked them obsessively. The plus: his large, very abstract canvases are beautifully presented. The minus: his canvases are big, and the exhibition area (the upper storey) small so you only see the current "show" (i.e., theme).
