Before this trip, we had not heard of this abstract expressionistic artist who dropped out of the NYC art scene well before he became famous. Huge collection on display and numerous interesting documents showing the history of the collection and the artist.

There really is so much value in a Museum dedicated to one artist. Really good history, good info on preservation of the art, and, the architecture of the building is amazing. If you're a Clyfford Sill fan you will be in heaven, and, if you're just discovering Sill you will be a fan, I'm sure. Don't miss this Museum.

Well told story and curated. Admission was free on the day we went, but not sure we would have paid now knowing what was on display. Really interesting concrete treatments in the design of the building.

We just returned from a nice visit to the Clyfford Still museum. The building itself has beautiful architecture and the collection of art is quite interesting. What a nice way to spend an hour or two on a rainy afternoon. I recommend watching the short film in the lobby prior to the exhibit.

Museum has great light and a wonderful collection of Still's that are organized chronologically. Who would have ever thought he painted figuratively? Wished I could have spent more time with the interactive wall that gave updates on his life and career along with the history of that time.

I had never heard of Clifford Stills, but I loved this small gallery purpose built to display a very large body of this influential artist's work. A contemporary of Jackson Pollack, he did not exhibit for many years yet was acknowledged by his peers as one of the leaders of the abstract expressionist movement. The building that houses the works... More

Interesting movie in lobby on the hx of museum and Clyfford Stiles. Liked his early and later works, not the middle years. Well presented exhibit.

My son recommended touring this museum and it was not a disappointment! I had never heard of this artist so learning something new was exciting. This is a wonderful building solely housing Mr. Stills works. There is a video explaining the history as well as tour guides available. We chose to watch the video and tour the museum on our... More

I went to art school, but I had never heard of Clifford Still before I came to CO. I went to this museum for one of their diSTILLED events. The event was fun, but the museum blew me away. I had previously had the impression that Still was a minor player in the modern art movement, but his work is... More

I am a fan of Clyfford Still. He changed my world. When I found out there was a museum solely dedicated to his art, I had to visit. The building itself was impressive and I found myself lost in the world of Clyfford Still. It contains his whole history. Letters to Jackson Pollock, his painter's smock, brushes, pigments, records, original... More
