This unique museum, devoted to the work of one artist, is worth the hour or so it takes to see it all. Located behind the Denver Art Museum, the building itself is an unusual delight. While Still is regarded as a pioneer in Abstract Expressionism, early works reveal his evolution from traditional, representational images. Exhibited works change periodically, so it’s... More

This is an amazing museum. On the entry level one is introduced to the work and life of Clifford Still through a video. There are also several interactive displays about the times in which he lived. The work is on the second level. It is well worth a visit!

Wow, where else can you see an entire museum dedicated to one artist's work. Denver was so lucky to win the bid for this collection

We really enjoyed the current exhibition of his early work with the Northwest Native Americans. His early sense of tragedy is also displayed in his Canadian paintings. Then when you look at the large-canvas abstract expressions, you have another level of understanding.

We are both museum professionals, who typically skip art museums on trips simply because we are in one EVERY day for work. However, this museum was completely different, both architecturally and in size. It's small enough to do in less then an hour and you'll def. learn something new. Stunning.

An incredible museum. First time I've been to a single-artist museum and wow! Getting to see an artist's work and how it developed over time was informative. This was the 2nd time I'd been to the museum and I'd go back every time I visited Denver. The building is beautiful and compliments the paintings perfectly.

Interesting museum showing the artist's voyage from representational to abstract art. Worth a visit.

This is a museum devoted to the works of modern artist Clyfford Still. Even if you are not familiar with his work, it is worth a visit. The sheer enormity of his paintings will amaze you. The museum owns many many paintings, and the exhibits change every few months.

Since I first heard of the museum's opening in 2011, I've wanted to see this place completely dedicated to one of the greats of the abstract expressionist movement. Clyfford Still Museum far surpassed my lofty expectations. In addition to a lovely display of a full 95% of his lifetime work (not all paintings are displayed at any given time), you'll... More

I havr not been a great fan of abstract expressionism, but this small (two-floor) gallery took me by surprise with its history - of Still's early representational art, of his early work on native American life and the tragedy of the Coulee Dam, of his transition through distorted semi-representational work of human figures, and of his powerful and unapologetic arrival...
