worth of Art you should drop in and learn about Clyfford Still and his amazing art career and the origins of this small museum. A significant artist, an amazing building (when seen from the inside) and a wonderful archive area where the Still discovery continues.

I like the idea of a museum dedicated to the work of a single artist, as it gives a great sense of his overall work. The introductory video is very helpful, especially if you are not familiar with Still. Note that this is all abstract art; you won't find pretty scenes. But it provides an entry into that stimulating world.

A fabulous marriage of art and architecture, this is a world-class exhibition you should not miss. Denver Art Museum is right next door for a very full day.

See how Still's work developed from his childhood to his last days in the way he said it should be done for all artists- an artist's works displayed together without the work of others. The building is great too and it's free/open late on Fridays.

Free on Friday nights I believe, along with outdoor concerts makes this a must see. Go for a drink next door at Palettes at Denver Art Museum and walk over and see the guy who inspired Pollack. Storage area is a must see. Just a very unusual presentation.

We are fans of Clyfford Still and really looked forward to seeing this new museum. Things went downhill fast. * the neo-Brutalist architecture hid the small, unfriendly entrance. Once inside, the unfriendliness accelerated as the guard at the desk said, "$10 per person, check your purse/backpack down the hallway. Art is upstairs." * not having a quarter for the locker,... Nestled against the angular architecture of the Denver Art Museums mewest wing, the Clyfford Still Museum can easily be overlooked or assumed to be connected. The talented work inside not only stands alone but it definitely doesn't just blend into the walls. The inside style of the building is unique and covered in many pieces of art worth visiting and... I hadn't been all that interested, but I tagged along with a friend, and I ended up loving the art, the building, the stories, the curation and presentation, the small and interesting gift shop, and learning about Clyfford Still's views on art. Highly recommended.

When Clyfford Still passed away, it looked like his collection would be relegated to a large warehouse somewhere out of sight, out of mind. But thanks to then Mayor Hickenlooper and some of Denver's leading philanthropists, the entire collection (except maybe a piece or two for the Smithsonian) is here. The father of modern art, the inspiration for Jackson Pollack... More

A gem. truly. Dwarfed by the Denver Art Museum one could be forgiven that the Clyfford Still be an annex of the former. I am not the most familiar of his work although i left with a comprehensive understanding of the artist, helped considerably by the 5 minute film provided at the beginning of your journey. An effortless yet absorbing... More
