It is such a unique treat to visit a museum built specifically to show one artist. The building is just gorgeous and I can't wait to go back as the museum rotates the artist's work. Thank you Denver!

I'm not a huge fan of abstract expressionism but still enjoyed the museum. The gallery spaces are light filled and showcase the paintings. The museum is small and honestly the admission price seemed a little high for what is there. Still, worth a visit.
If you enjoy art, you will be glad you found the time to visit the Clyfford Still Museum while in Denver. It is absolutely worth the minimal effort required to tour the galleries. If you are a lover of Abstract Expressionism, especially the American vernacular, it is worth traveling out of your way to see this museum at least once....

If you like contemporary abstract art, you must visit this museum. There is no other like it anywhere! The architecture is another reason to visit this museum. The texture, the angles, the lighting are all designed to complement Clyfford Still's unique art.
Very handsome museum set up exclusively for this gentlemans work, you simply can't go wrong, when you're in the area you owe it to yourself to check it out, salida1048
We visited this museum on the same day we took in the big Denver Art Museum right next door. The museum is devoted to this one artist, Still. One after another, we found his massive abstract canvases captivating and exciting. His selective use of color is amazing. Well worth the visit to make a day of it, park once and...

Clyfford Still (born in N.Dakota) became a seminal force in mid-20th century Abstract Expressionism. He directed his heirs to keep his work together. Denver built a separate small museum for this stunning collection which is so extensive the hanging pieces are rotated every 6 months. One of the few museums where you can see the evolution of an artist over...

One museum of modern art that comprises nearly all of one artist's entire work. The paintings are huge, hung far apart on huge slabs of concrete in a building of award winning architecture. Only a relatively small number of Still's paintings can be shown at any one time so it is a pleasure to take an hour and view the...

This museum opened within the past couple of years and is a real "catch" for Denver. I knew nothing about Clifford Still but to have an American artist who wast so prolific and relatively unknown outside the inner circle of the art world is a real tribute to those who campaigned to bring it to our city. The building is...

Tiny museums have the potential to combine setting and exhibits in an intimate way that, when successful, takes one’s breath away. The setting of the Clyfford Still Museum, along with almost all of his paintings, is one such example.
This museum shows Clyfford Still’s journey as he moves toward the abstract impressionism and, oh, what an amazing destination occurs once...
