I'm a wet white wine drinker so coming to Balistreri that mostly has reds was a challenge for me. However it was a good experience and they offer some perks that most vineyards I've visited do not. I don't want to ruin it for anyone so you'll have to go see for yourself!

To be up front: I've never had the wine here, I've only been here for company events. I work at the wastewater plant - just down the street. It's actually the largest West of the Mississippi. Cons: If your looking for scenery, I wouldn't even come into this part of town. The area is what locals call Commerce City. It's... More

WOW!!! Free tastings. Excellent, knowledgeable staff. Family operation. Cheese and crackers to accompany tasting for free. We did not eat here...but for wine tasting just wow. Don't let the short drive out intimidate you. The experience is great.

WOW! I am from the Denver area and had NO idea this was in town. My girlfriends and I had lunch/wine tasting and the tour, and it was one of the friendliest wineries I have ever been to! Lunch was amazing and everyone at our table was impressed with their meal. Wine tasting was fun and our wine server/pourer was... More

We stopped by here on a small wine tour while we visited Denver and the surrounding area. This little winery is in the middle of an industrial park area. The tasting room is lovely; we tasted way too many wines (the tasting is free and there is no limit -- you may taste them all). We also toured the wine... More

Not expecting to find this in the big city of Denver. Worth the drive and time to check out the variety of wines they have. Have friendly staff and variety of people sampling

Wow!! What a Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. This gem of a family-owned place offers free (!!) wine tasting of all of their many wines, a free tour of the winery, and the Most Fabulous lunch. You order your lunch (don't miss the bacon wrapped scallops and the antipasto for 2) and then you can begin tasting while you... More

We are from California, and it was a real treat to try some Colorado wines. You're not in the middle of "wine country" - but the hospitality and attentiveness of the family-run winery makes it worth the visit. It was a delicious change in the type of wine as well, as their process is "old country." Our server gave us... More

During a weekend trip to Denver, stopped in to do a quick tasting and have a bite to eat at Balistreri. The staff were very pleasant but they needed a couple more people helping. The food was tasty but waited well over an hour for a sandwich and pasta dish. Never did get our soup. The wines weren't our favorite... More

From reading all the other reviews, I gather that the ownership and employees are wonderful people. I only had a brief interaction with one person, so I can't really speak to that but I am sure it is true. Unfortunately I am accustomed to Virginia wineries, so I must admit that I am pretty biased. I believe a winery should... More
