Great Winery

Not expecting to find this in the big city of Denver. Worth the drive and time to check out the variety of wines they have. Have friendly staff and variety of people sampling

Wow!! What a Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. This gem of a family-owned place offers free (!!) wine tasting of all of their many wines, a free tour of the winery, and the Most Fabulous lunch. You order your lunch (don't miss the bacon wrapped scallops and the antipasto for 2) and then you can begin tasting while you... More

We are from California, and it was a real treat to try some Colorado wines. You're not in the middle of "wine country" - but the hospitality and attentiveness of the family-run winery makes it worth the visit. It was a delicious change in the type of wine as well, as their process is "old country." Our server gave us... More

During a weekend trip to Denver, stopped in to do a quick tasting and have a bite to eat at Balistreri. The staff were very pleasant but they needed a couple more people helping. The food was tasty but waited well over an hour for a sandwich and pasta dish. Never did get our soup. The wines weren't our favorite... More

From reading all the other reviews, I gather that the ownership and employees are wonderful people. I only had a brief interaction with one person, so I can't really speak to that but I am sure it is true. Unfortunately I am accustomed to Virginia wineries, so I must admit that I am pretty biased. I believe a winery should... More

Each July the Winery hosts a lovely Wine and Movie Night Event which we have attended each of the past four years. The first year we discovered the event searching for something to do in Denver in the summer. We enjoyed it so much we keep returning, and each year we encourage more of our friends to join us. They... More

I loved this winery. The wines were very good. And the tasting was generous - standard small sample size, but plenty of samples. There was only one wine I wouldn't drink, so I was pleasantly surprised by their wines. After the tasting, they will do a brief tour. They still do almost everything by hand, so it was interesting to... More

Sorry, everyone but the wines here were some of the worst I've ever tasted in my life. We went as part of a friend's bachelorette party and I think I tried 7 or 8 different wines before I literally had to stop. We started off with the "un-chardonnay" and "un-riesling" and then made our way into the reds. I wish... More

This family has been in the wine making business for many years, flowers before that... they all are very knowledgeable about the wines... they are very personable, they really are about the wine. They have beautiful grounds and wine tasting venue. They now serve lunch and small plates, if you want to eat, and the food is great! The wine... More

Was invited to wine, food and jazz evening. $75 per person. WELL WORTH every penny. Wine was much better than expected (Cab Sav). Food tastings were incredible. The high end jazz performances were incredible. Venue was great. I would never miss this again. Thanks for a great evening

Thank Jonmun
