Mark Mothersbaugh's work was eerie, inspiring and thought provoking. We arrived right on time for Friday's teen night activities. The hospitality was warm and welcoming as we were all able to get our hands on all type of dj equipment and electronics as the rest of the group lounged and sipped hot coco in the Bubble Garden. My group of... More

We stretch our minds occasionally and this was one of those times. The exhibit was Mark Mothersbaugh who had a major influence on Devo. So there were all sorts of films of Devo and the shootings of the students at Kent State "four dead in Ohio..." This had a major influence on the group who decided we weren't evolving but... More

This trip through Denver we caught the "Mark Mothersbaugh: Myopia" exhibit (ov thee band "DEVO" & so much more). Can't believe it was only $8 (Adult) apiece to see & experience so much. Hard to describe, covered decades of his works, music, video, musical "instruments", paintings, writings, sketches, notebooks, drawings, records, thousands of drawn/collage "mail art", rugs, prints, creations, etc...... Excellent museum of contemporary Art. great shows. Saw MARK MOTHERSBAUGH: "MYOPIA" runs into April. Fantastic. Always good shows, always contemporary work. Fun openings. Busy, well attended. Walkable from central downtown Denver if you are visiting.

We missed the opening of the current exhibition called, Myopia, showing work created by Mark Mothersbaugh. Who? An American composer and musician who has a song nominated for this year's Academy Award for "Everything is Awesome!!!" from The LEGO Movie. Fortunately the exhibit runs thru April 12th and our visit last week did not disappoint. This is an impressive and... More

This is a warm and welcoming museum. All the staff members that I met during this visit were warm, friendly, helpful and just wonderful. From the opening payment with a cashier who was more than helpful and gracious to others wandering the exhibit, I was very impressed. I am used to "museum guards" standing watch to make sure you don't... More

My friend and I went during a day where it wouldn't be so crowded to experience vibration, energy and other esoteric novelties. It was such a wonderful experience visually, auditorially and physically. What a cool thing to experience as art. From sound healing through crystal bowls, to the pyramid of metal where you listened to tones that are supposed to... More

Five exhibit spaces with rotating exhibits. Some very interactive and fun, others "blah and boring" (sometimes, I "don't get it"). $8 entry fee would not quite be worth it was it not for the great terrace café that makes for an interesting restful stop while exploring Denver.

The Museum of contemporary art was fantastic! I am not a big fan usually of museums but my son is so we all went. the art was thoughtful and sparked some good conversations between me and my teens. we stayed up in the rooftop bar for about two hours discussing what we had seen.. Hats off to the artists! parking... More

It pains me to connect any negative review to art because I admire artists, but I just couldn’t get excited by the Denver MCA when I was there. The building space has a clean, minimalist vibe, and the hallways that were lined with black material were cool to walk through. Alas, none of the exhibits turned me on at all... More
