My friend and I went during a day where it wouldn't be so crowded to experience vibration, energy and other esoteric novelties. It was such a wonderful experience visually, auditorially and physically. What a cool thing to experience as art. From sound healing through crystal bowls, to the pyramid of metal where you listened to tones that are supposed to... More

Five exhibit spaces with rotating exhibits. Some very interactive and fun, others "blah and boring" (sometimes, I "don't get it"). $8 entry fee would not quite be worth it was it not for the great terrace café that makes for an interesting restful stop while exploring Denver.

The Museum of contemporary art was fantastic! I am not a big fan usually of museums but my son is so we all went. the art was thoughtful and sparked some good conversations between me and my teens. we stayed up in the rooftop bar for about two hours discussing what we had seen.. Hats off to the artists! parking... More

It pains me to connect any negative review to art because I admire artists, but I just couldn’t get excited by the Denver MCA when I was there. The building space has a clean, minimalist vibe, and the hallways that were lined with black material were cool to walk through. Alas, none of the exhibits turned me on at all... More

Every time I visit this wonderful museum I leave inspired. I've been here a handful of times and I love it. It's a beautifully well designed museum. It will generally take an hour to go through and at the rooftop you can finish off your visit with a nice glass of wine or beer. The museum always has amazing exhibits... More

I met friends at the MCA intending to check out the museum as well as visit the rooftop bar/cafe, but a teen event had taken over the museum, and so we spent nearly the entire evening in the bar, so this may not be an entirely fair review of the museum itself. It was a rainy evening, so we actually... More

When I visited the main exhibition was works by Rashid Johnson. I found the short video the most interesting as well as the large wall carvings.

We went to this museum because my daughter is an art student and their website made it sound very interesting. One whole floor was closed so the kids were free and the adults were by donation. We paid $5 per adult and definitely feel we overpaid. One whole floor was pantyhose stretched in all different configurations with sand in them.... More

The real jewel of this museum is the rooftop. There is a café, some outdoor benches and a indoor green park, where you can relax with bsre foots on green grass. The museum overall is quite small and I wasn't sincerely impressed by the exhibitions. Anyway this is a personal opinion and the exhibitions are expected to change regularly. The... More

So we stumbled across this museum and decided to waste some time there. Please, it's us, not them...but we are potentially not as great lovers of contemporary art as we once thought. They had very kind, friendly front desk gentleman. Kids and Teens are free, which made it all the more enticing for us. The exhibits were fine, if you... More
