Denver must have about the best cycling infrastructure in the country, and this is just one more example. It's a rare week that I'm not on this path at some point, pedaling along.

Pros: nice wide trail along a creek; well lit; no "nooks and crannies" that might might worry you that someone was hiding, ready to jump out at you; bypasses the cross streets by going under bridges to avoid the stoplights. Cons: concrete surface, so a little hard on the knees for running; below ground level, so the view is mostly... More

You can get pretty much anywhere in the city or outside the city on this path. It does get busy on the weekends. We ride the Cherry Creek bike path from our home in Castle Rock to the REI store and enjoy a Starbucks and a bathroom break and people watch. This path connects to the Platte River Trail and... More

On occasion we like to ride the Cherry Creek Bike Path starting from the Cherry Creek Resevoir and ride into downtown Denver. The path is pretty much downhill going from the east to the west with a few good hills to climb. The path can be busy on the weekends. The path runs along a creek that takes you through... More

My daughter and I walked from the Hyatt Regency Hotel to the Cherry Creek Mall along the Cherry Creek Bike and Pedestrian Path, a distance of four miles. It was a pleasant walk until it ended and we had to continue along the busy road on a sidewalk. However, we still enjoyed the beautiful fall day and chance to walk.... More

Love the fact that I could get to many parts of the city by bike and see so many great views. Denver has a lot of homeless people, but they seem to stay on the 16th Street Mall rather than the bike path.
