We have been taking our kids and grand kids to Elitch Gardens Theme Park for years. They moved from north west Denver, to the Platte River area 20 years ago. The move was a sign of greed, whereby you were able to take a picnic lunch in the old park and now you must buy their overpriced, poor quality food.... More

If you go every year invest in a season pass. Their website sells them and the price you make back after 2 visits! They have plenty of kid friendly rides for the little ones!

1) Definitely not worth it unless you have a season pass and can go often to get your money's worth (even then, it may not be worth it) 2) Rides are poorly maintained, seemingly only enough to (hopefully) meet minimum safety standards, but nothing more 3) Crowd control/flow/management are of no importance to this organization. 4) Clearly an organization that... We visited this attraction under the assumption that there were tons of rides for small children. To our disappointment, there are very few. We also spent over $30 for three people at one of the cafes and received cold, flavorless burgers and fries. The wait for said food was ridiculously long as well. The restaurant was really messy with food... More

City centre amusement parks are rare...you see them a lot in Europe but in the USA you won't see many. Being at the heart of the city does have its pluses and minuses...on the plus side it is easy to reach and you get an amazing city backdrop to the rides...on the down side it means the park can be... The park has been a part of Denver since its inception. The lines move quickly. Most everyone is friendly. There is an area for the younger members of the family to enjoy as well as the more thrilling rides for family members who want a little adrenaline. The staff is helpful and friendly. It's not as large and extensive as... More

We travel to Denver and Colorado a couple of times a year. We finally decided to spend a day at Elitchs, because the whole family loves rides. It was fun, the lines were not too long. However, this place was a dump. There was litter everywhere, overflowing trash cans, and worst of all, everything was STICKY. Wherever your hand touched,... More

We spent the day at Elitches on Labor Day weekend. We were pleasantly surprised that it was less busy that is has been on our two previous visits this summer. The park is clean and nicely decorated as you stroll through. It has a variety of shops if you're interested in shopping or getting souvenirs. We went on a couple... More

it was well maintained. I had signed up for an early evening months ahead of time and though it was a garden with theme plantings so was totally surprised when the bus came to what I'd call an amusement park with rides. I should have done a google search before paying $25. for a non nutritious meal and box of... More
