We went down for the 4th of July weekend. Surprisingly, the lines were quite short due to the weather. We went on a Sunday because their website offered half-priced tickets for Sunday; that is only an online deal. Other than peeling paint and a couple closed rides, the kids had fun. Here's a brief run-down on some of my favorite... more

Be aware! If you visited in past years it is not what it used to be. There is a great deal of price difference depending on what kind of deal you can find. They must be hurting so much that they have lowered the amount to upgrade to a seaon pass so where does that leave those who bought before??... more

I was there on a beautiful Saturday in late June 2009. The weather was perfect and the park was full of people. Not a cloud in the sky and about 82 degrees. This has to be one of their busiest days of the year. SO...tell me why were 1/3 of the rides not operating? Are they broken? Do they not... more

Elitches has some fairly modern and intense rides (Mind Eraser, Boomarang, Half Pipe, Tower of Doom, ect..) as well as a liberal selection of good flat rides. They have a decent sized water park with several large slides and a lazy river. Admission covers both all day. Food is mostly brand name stuff (Subway, Panda Express ect)...park food is on... more

We just spent the day at Elitch Gardens. We found it to be a great value. You can get tickets for $25 at King Soopers. This covers admission both for the carnival rides and the water park for an entire day. We went on a Sunday in early June and we were able to walk on nearly every major ride... more

I'd rather go to lakeside...wait, well maybe not! elitchs is going down hill since it is no longer a sixflags. it was already generic for a sixflags, but now it is even worse. all of the theme decorations have been removed giving it a bland ambiance. the water park is fun and a couple of rides are fun. the food... more

First off, this is no longer a Six Flags owned park. So don't think you'll get to use your Six Flags season pass... We went in early June, and it was a pretty lousy experience. Way overpriced for what they have--this isn't exactly Disneyland! FOUR rides closed down as we stood in line for them--no real reasons were given. Everything... more

First, it's $15 to park. Then, for one adult, one 12-year-old, and one 8-year-old, even using discount coupons we got from one of the travel brochures at our hotel, it was almost $100 admission. The kids averaged one ride per hour, and the (small) 12-year-old was too tall to go on the rides that the 8-year-old could ride; the 8-year-old... more

I was hesitant to go to Elitch Gardens because my husband, who grew up in Denver, said it was just so so. (He hadn't gone since it became a Six Flags.) We bought our tickets at the King Sooper Grocery Store for $23/each. We took my in-laws (in their 70s) and our two children (2 years old and 5 years... more

We had a really fun day at Six Flags in Denver! It was overcast the day we went but it was still a fun day! There were plenty of rides even though the lines were very, very long. The only time the rides were even somewhat short was over the lunch hour when most people took breaks to eat. Due... more
