We visited the Denver Art Museum whilst visiting Denver for a conference in April. It is superb!! There is art of just about every nation. So much so that I was punch-drunk with culture. We had to return to see all of the exhibits and even then I would certainly go back.

There's always something new to see here and the architecture of the building is fascinating. You can easily spend the entire day taking in exhibits on several floors that are all included in the price of admission. Do not miss the Western Art collection. It's truly magnificent.

I feel so lucky to have this cultural landmark in my city! The DAM is a fabulous place for residents and tourists alike. Our kids enjoy it, so we try to go once a month. I brought my oldest daughter to the Van Gogh exhibit and she went home to attempt several of her own Van Gogh-inspired works. The DAM... More

A semi-encyclopedic museum. The highlights for me were the Western art collection, something you don't see on the East coast, some of the Hudson river school paintings, and the Native American collection. The European collection, or at least what was exhibited, was sparse. I had a nice lunch in their restaurant. The newer building, while architecturally interesting, seems to overshadow... More

Just a short time is left to see this magnificent collection of O'Keeffe's work that focuses on her time in New Mexico. It leaves all too soon--April 28, 2013! We simply were blown away with the quality of her pieces. The vibrancy, perspective, unexpected mix of colors and shadows are a testament to her unique view and daring body of... More

Saw the Georgia O'Keefe Exhibit and it was great -- unfortunately I went on a "free" day so it was quite crowded. On the other hand, the museum had lots of docents ushering patrons around and we stopped and listened to several -- and learned about the Hopi kachina/katsima dolls that she painted. The video was excellent but the volume... More

First of all please be sure to drive by the outside of the museum to see the unique architecture. The older building looks like a modern impression of a gothic prison. The new section looks like the Battlestar Gallatica crash landed in Downtown Denver. The collections inside are quite good as well. Good Native American exhibits, western art and more.

I like everything. The walls, the building, the art inside. A mix of modern and traditional. Two parts - the older building and the contemporary building connected. Could spend the day - much to see.

We were invited as part of Collaborate 13 to attend a reception at the Denver Art Museum. It was quite nice as we were offered appetizers and drinks but we only got to venture onto the 2nd, 3rd and 7th floors so were able to see some native american and southwestern art, but I had really wanted to go and... Everything about the DAM is special. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded with exciting visuals, friendly and helpful staff, and a wonderful sense of space around you. The architecture itself is amazing and gives everything a sense of importance. The exhibits are always wonderful and leave you wanting more. But the YSL exhibit was so far beyond... More
