The Denver Aquarium is a smaller yet impressive aquarium for its location (Being Colorado). It does not take all day like some of the aquariums around the US, but makes for a fun attraction to kill some time, or on a rainy day. It is usually a bit crowded being one of the downfalls. I enjoy the setup, you start... More

Why does an aquarium have tigers? The tiger exhibit is too small and unbearably noisy for such a creature. Seaworld for tigers. The racket from the overhead speakers is obnoxious. Stood in hot sun with 72 other adults (I counted them) and almost as many small children, toddlers, and infants in a long winding intake line. The aquarium has 6... More

I love aquariums but this one is disappointing. Too expensive and not impressive. I don't like the design of the flow through journey of water from river-to-sea. In theory a good concept, but they don't make it informative enough to work well. The tiger exhibit is just sad. Overall, I prefer the Tropical Discoveries exhibit at the Denver Zoo.

For her 5th birthday celebration, the youngest member of our group requested that she be taken to this place. With a pen and a small notebook, she led the way, writing down the names of the first 7 fish exhibits that we saw. Their scientific names are quite long and shortly, she opted to just watch the colorful fish on... More

This is a pretty neat aquarium, having quite a bit to look at. If you're looking for bigger sharks, manatees, or things to that nature it unfortunately falls short. It has a section of freshwater fish in the US, but I've seen better at a Cabela's or Bass Pro. Despite its shortcomings, it does however have a pretty neat selection... More

I took my niece who's 3. While I think she enjoyed our visit, she was often scared of the dark areas and loud noises (flash flood area). Other kids her age and younger didn't seem to mind though, so it certainly depends on how brave your youngster is! We loved the mermaid show, which was totally worth the wait! Very... More

This is a very nice, very average aquarium. It is more of a money pit owned by Landry's, but we still enjoyed our visit! Great rainy day activity right in the downtown area. For more than most aquariums you can see the same exhibits - they have more hands on activities and features though. A couple of cool things you... More

What to do on a rainy day? Go to the aquarium! It was a nice visit and they have a lot to see. It was crowded but easy to get around. They were generous with getting a wheelchair for my mother. We had a very good experience.

I love zoos and aquariums and I can honestly say that this is one of the cooler aquariums I've been to. You can swim with fish, swim with sharks, see a mermaid show (perfect for your own little Ariel/Eric...or for you if you're in to pretty ladies with tails), and get a decent bite to eat. I didn't have an... More
