If you love living history museums you will love this place. It is in the middle of Denver now but gives a real flavor of what it must have been like in the 1800s. Taking a tour is the best way to see it.

This is a neat place to visit. It seems maybe they cater more to schools or group events. Not sure but when we were there all they did was give a tour of the house. They did not offer pans for the gold mining and there was only one person dressed up in period costume. We enjoyed our time though.

Very good docent led tour of the main house. A fun and fascinating glimpse into Denver's history and life on the frontier. Go and learn why it is called 'four mile'. Would also be great for kids as they can explore the house and the outbuildings plus see horses and chickens. Tip - look for a Groupon or Living Social... More

We only had one day in Denver and decided Margaret Brown House and Four Mile Historic Park were our must-do's. We were very glad we stopped here. The volunteers were super friendly, Ken led our home tour and he was so kind and informative. We panned for gold, toured the old home, enjoyed the animals, inspected the stage coach and... More

I plan to go back this summer (it was a little dreary in the winter) but this little park, in the middle of an residential area, is quite cute, with an old pioneer settlement set up, complete with wagons, chickens, and horses. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There is not enough there to keep you long, but it is worth... More
