Great tour guide told us all about the families who lived in the house/stage stop. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. There were horses, goats and chickens, so it was a good place to take children. They had a little store with reasonable prices.

I just visited with my son's class and had been here 2 years ago with my daughter's class .... It's even better!! It is clear that the programming staff cares a lot about improving the programming for school aged kids. In a 3.5 hour visit -- our class actually made butter, tried Bison jerky, ground real coffee beans, heard an... More

Visited on July 4th Celebration event, and it was a fantastic! I enjoyed the event very much but my daughter liked it very much also. We are going back to Denver this year in same time, and we will go to this event again!

Did not know what to expect when we arrived here. But, we all really enjoyed our visit. For $5 per person, a docent will take you on a tour of the grounds and will tell you about the history of Denver and the Cherry Creek area. You’ll also be able to enter a historical home built in 1859 (not just... More

Nicely restored and maintained working "stage stop" with horses, gardens and costumed tour guides. Guided tours, and educational talks, a lovely gift shop plus schedule events. This is a wonderful reminder of Denver's rich American history. I'd say have brunch at a nearby eatery, then spend the afternoon here. Economical, educational, quaint, heart warming -- don't miss this treasure not... More

It was a great day of history. I would return for the day. The 4 th of July celebration had stagecoach rides, homemade authentic root beer, a full day of the old west.

I happened to go on a day when it was free, which was cool. I went by myself but this is definitely a place for families especially with smaller children. The park is not very large but there are walking trails around the property. The tour guide was the cutest little spunky lady. Go and enjoy. Watch the horse patties... More

We had such a good time here. We have no connection to Colorado or Denver, but by the time we left Four Mile House, we felt like natives. Our guide was fantastic - knowledgeable about history on the local, state and national level, and a natural storyteller to boot. We got a thorough and fascinating tour of the house and... More

My students enjoyed it but I hesitate to take my grandchildren unless the docents are available. Really okay but not compared to similar historical parks.
