Best time to visit is the summer when they have outdoor concerts where you can bring your own drinks and food.

Very good docent led tour of the main house. A fun and fascinating glimpse into Denver's history and life on the frontier. Go and learn why it is called 'four mile'. Would also be great for kids as they can explore the house and the outbuildings plus see horses and chickens. Tip - look for a Groupon or Living Social... More

We only had one day in Denver and decided Margaret Brown House and Four Mile Historic Park were our must-do's. We were very glad we stopped here. The volunteers were super friendly, Ken led our home tour and he was so kind and informative. We panned for gold, toured the old home, enjoyed the animals, inspected the stage coach and... More

I plan to go back this summer (it was a little dreary in the winter) but this little park, in the middle of an residential area, is quite cute, with an old pioneer settlement set up, complete with wagons, chickens, and horses. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There is not enough there to keep you long, but it is worth... More

I went here as a parent volunteer with my son's 4th grade class. The staff here does a great job of conducting tours that teach kids a lot about what it was like in Denver in the 1800s. Very easy and convenient location and lots of fun for old and young.

This is a good look into the 'old' life, especially for children. Or others who haven't seen this type of preservation and historical accounts. The timeline in the visitors center was most impressive to me.

This tour was very informative about the pioneering family that built this wagon stop 4 miles outside of Denver's center back in the 1800's. The house on the grounds is considered Denver's oldest structure. The docent was very knowledgeable about the family, house, grounds, and area history. From what I understood, is that they also host school groups and have... More

Great tour guide told us all about the families who lived in the house/stage stop. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. There were horses, goats and chickens, so it was a good place to take children. They had a little store with reasonable prices.
