This is a great old school amusement park. My kids and I loved it! The lines are short and the staff is great and I love old wooden coasters. During the week opens at 6 and stays open till at least 12. Great kiddie land and great adult rides. Love the train that takes you around the lake.

Love this place! Yes, it's run-down, yes, it's slightly sketchy, yes, they don't have a barista and a falafel stand for you uppity folk! HOWEVER, this place is the quintessential old-school family theme park. Classic rides, classic wooden roller coaster, even a "glass house". The kiddie area is separate-you don't have to roam all over the place. You can pay... More

Yes the place is run down....Most of the arcade games did not wok or were completely busted. But we had fun!!! The rides are classic!! I think everyone needs to check this place out, the gardens are beautiful, the rides are cool and the further in you walk, the bigger it gets! Go, have fun!!!!

I'm writing this review because I couldn't find one before I went and wished someone would have provided this info to me. I went to Lakeside every year when I was growing up in the 80's and literally had not been there since 1990. At the time, I was a size 14 and now I am much larger (I am... More

A good renovation of the place was in order when we visited about 8 years ago. Not too bad of a place in comparison to Albuquerque or El Paso amusement parks. Ride selections were not the caliber of a Six Flags or Disney, but were adequate for kids and teens. Train ride circles the lake and was enjoyable. Not very... More

I instantly recognized the experienced parkgoers: they had packed parties with cooler after cooler of ethnic cuisine and drink. They picked shady spots. They had all the necessities: paper towels, water, spare clothes. They accepted the Park's invitation: everyone is welcome to bring picnics. They celebrated multigenerational birthdays, reunions and other occasions. Next time, I thought to myself, we'll follow... More

If I can give this place zero stars I would!!! I know it's an original theme park but does the original dust, grime, and filth have to be there too... the place is filthy, the food workers dont wear gloves or hair nets. The funnel cake place was disgusting, I'm surprised the State Health Department hasn't shut Lakeside down. Lakeside... More

Lakeside is like an old, favorite, worn pair of pajamas. It takes you back in time and sure, needs some expensive updating. But for the many coupons and discounts Lakeside offers, it is worth a fun family night. They have a kiddie section and the bigger kids' rides so there is a lot of variety. The flowers were beautiful around... More

I took my family to lakeside for there first time and mine since I was a kid. I love the fact that it really hadn't changed in all those years. But was really disappointed in the fact that they haven't done any maintenance on the appearance of the rides, buildings, or park in general. Looking around I could not believe... More
