People need to lighten up. No where will you find an original amusement park like this. The negative reviews are because they want Six Flags rides and service. I love Lakeside and the price makes it possible to take kids and grandkids several times a season. One reviewer complained about a ride being closed; its been closed for years. If... More

Cool history, neat old rides, cheap. This place is borderline maybe you don't want your kids on some of these run down rides. Some are kinda sketch. Picture low budget fair rides. Train ride around lake is best. I suggest going in the daylight with kids because of surrounding area. This place in its heyday was amazing I'm sure. But... More

Went to ride three coasters....only one was working. Sad that it doesn't have rich benefactor to fix it up to its historic self. Positive not was I got to ride an ACE coaster classic.

Lakeside can get a bad rap, particularly by those that have never tried it ... It is great for young children and you have none of the insane crowds or parking nightmares that another local amusement park has (Elitches). The rides for young kids are appropriate and the kids love them. The food is amusement park fair ... I mean... More

First of all to all the naysayers, I say boo to you! This place is great. Sure, it's not as fancy as Elitches, but it's half the price and parking is included. You get a whole day of family fun without breaking the bank. The rides are not falling apart as some other reviews might say (each ride has to... More

As far as amusement parks go this one is ok. It's a lovely bit of history with some (frighteningly) old rides. Personally, I'm not a fan of wooden rollercoasters, but if your are there's a nice one here. Not that many rides, but nice for a day out with smaller kids (7-15). Older teenagers will probably get bored quite soon.

This old historical place should be so nice to go to but its not... ever! the people who work there do not care, and there are always little gangster kids... or wannabe gangster kids cutting in line and talking filthy in front of you and your family that are trying to have a decent family time together.. The one good... More

We went on a Sunday with family. I was skeptical at first since it looked run down, but, we had such a great time. The kids loved it! The lines were short so we were able to get on any rides we wanted and multiple times. I highly suggest the train ride around the lake.

Lakeside is an amusement park that has over 100 years of existence in Denver, Colorado. The art deco style of many of the buildings and rides makes it a work of art. The rides have always run consistently on all my visits to this place. There is a good selection of rides, most of them the "classic" rides that date... More

Lakeside Amusement Park is a slice of cultural history. In that respect, it's worth reading about. But is it an attraction worth a visit? That's a tougher question. Arguably, its long decay and current relegation to its current status, may not merit a visit. If you're with a group more interested in heritage – it's perhaps a stellar living museum.... More
