alright, maybe it isn't the best on earth, but it's definitely the best in the united states. i mean, come on! elitch's sucks. its name sounds like a leech. and that's what most of the people who work there are. they suck your wallet empty(pun intended), then give you a couple stupid rides that will either make you barf, poop,... Been around since 1908 and still going strong, gives you an idea of its uniqueness. With over 30 rides to choose from, lakeside will surely please any age young and old. The park is divided into two sections, the kiddy play and the more mature rides. Though the bigger rides only open after six or so. As you walk down... More

My fiance and I went on the final weekend of the season this past year with his mother, cousins, siblings and their children. I don't recall what we paid to park and for tickets, but there was a discounted rate for the season-closing weekend. While some of the rides are older and could definitely use an update or paint job,... More

My wife and I were both looking forward to visiting Lakeside. I had read lots of lovely things about it, the art deco styling, how good the Cyclone was, and the amazing night-time experience, so it was disappointing to report our own experience was just rather ordinary. The park has a small parking charge which is knocked off the wristband... More

My boyfriend and I bought a Groupon deal for this park and received entry and unlimited ride passes for the two of us for around $25. This park should be considered as a FUN historic landmark... and not compared to other modern, expensive, sleek, tree-less amusement parks. We loved it! Our favorite: The Cyclone wooden roller-coaster (built in 1940 and... More

Lakeside is such a great place to go and have fun without paying a lot and waiting in endless lines. Even on Labor Day weekend, the crowds are totally tolerable. They have a wonderful selection of rides for all ages and desires, and the lines are short, especially the kiddie rides, where my kids would repeatedly get off and on... More

We took our 11-year old grandson to this amusement park. It was a $3 entry fee and $20 for an unlimited ride bracelet for our grandson. This is an historic park, the buildings within were built around the turn of the century. The rides reminded me of carnival rides at a State Fair with the exception of the wooden roller... More
