The history of Lakeside is worth checking out on Wikipedia if you're thinking about going. It's the oldest amusement park in CO and definitely has the classic theme park feel complete with elephant ears, cotton candy and snow cones. You buy tickets (no bracelets here!) and give them to the conductors for each ride. There is a great mini park... More

If you go to Lakeside expecting Six Flags, you will be sorely disappointed. Lakeside is old, it's kitschy, and most of the rides will make you want to vomit (8 out of 10 spin). That being said, this place is awesome for what it is. I grew up coming here with my dad and siblings, and we loved it so... More

My family loves Lakeside. We get a much better vibe here than the other large amusement park in Denver. My kids call it a happy place. Great value too! We especially appreciate the fact that don't gouge you on food and beverage.

Its like going back in time, evenings hide the flaws that years have told.... The neon and bright lights come on as the sunsets and you are back in the 50's ! or maybe the 30's. Old time woork Roller Coasters, sheet ball, and a bunch of fun ! Only thing missing is the bearded lady ! Great fun and... More

What a great inexpensive way to entertain a toddler for 2 hours. Lakeside is basically a rundown carnival that never leaves. Their Kiddie Playland is Awesome with at least 12 toddler size rides. My 21/2 year old loved it! I would suggest you eat before you go or take a lunch with you. I wouldn't eat the food there if... More

Okay...In reading others' reviews I am trying to decide how to give the most helpful review. We intentionally went during the weekday so it wouldn't be busy (don't like crowds much), and heard that the kids' rides open at 1:00. Okay, but they are NOT kidding that nothing else opens until 6:00. No food!? I read in someone's review they... More

Took my grandkids during the day, when only the small rides were open. Total was about $20 for an hour of fun. That being said, ages 3-6 or so is appropriate. Older kids would be bored with the easy rides. Plentiful shade, lots of benches to sit on. The teens working the rides were GREAT - they helped the kids... More

We loved this old amusement park. With a 6 yr. old, who lacks hates long lines and is just now tall enough to ride alot of rides, this was a perfect introduction to amusement parks without breaking the bank. She could ride all the rides, with no lines on a Sat.! I loved the old wooden roller coaster. Not many... More

A lot of people say this place is run down and out of date, but that is what we LOVED about it. Most of the rides are 1960's, a few earlier and later. It's like re-living your youth and offers great value for money if you buy an unlimited ride wrist band. The youngsters all seemed to be having a... More
