This free attraction doubles as a visitor's center and historical museum. We heard the desk people taking reservations for some event and there was a collection of fliers for area attractions. Bottom level: There was a small theater with an interesting repeating video about the history of the area, extensive model train display, buggies, etc. Main level: Lots of interesting... More

You will learn all about the history of the towns of Cripple Creek and Victor at the Heritage Center. There are nice displays that inform visitors about all aspects of life in a mining town. There is an excellent model of the Molly Kathleen Gold Mine.

This was a cool little lookout point over Cripple Creek. It is a 3 story building with some really well done history exhibits on mining, pikes peak, area wild life, and a small model railway. The kids with us had a blast. It was very clean and the staff was super friendly!

History of the Gold Mine town in self guided form, friendly folks and free! Lovely photo's of how the told looked and operated in the 1800's and the view is spectacular as it is way above the actual city on a mountain.

We stopped by here after going to the MK gold mine. It is a block away across the road. This was a new, nice and clean place to go. It is 3 stories with a lot of history and information about the area. The best part is it's free. I would plan 30 minutes to 1 hour.

There is little I can add to the reviews already written except to say that, honestly, this is a must-see. Extremely well done. Even the exterior is unique and inviting. The main entrance is in the middle through the mine but on either side are replicas of a shop and a hotel that you view from the exterior and they... More

The Pikes Peak Heritage Center at Cripple Creek is a nice little museum about the history of mining that is located across from the Mollie Kathleen Mine. It was free, with donations appreciated.

We had a great time. We arrived b4 the parade was to start. This gave us time to shop. They had vendors tents set up on both sides of the streets. The kids and I enjoyed it. The men folks stayed and gaurded our good spots for us. They had a candy and fudge shop. Who couldn't use a little... More
