My family loves museums and as recent transplants to Colorado we are enjoying learning about our new home. We were in Cripple Creek for the Donkey Derby Days and decided on a whim to visit the museum. I am so glad we did. The main building was beautiful and filled with neat artifacts and stories of the town's past and... More

We came here on July 4th with our daughter and grandchildren and we LOVED this museum. Everyone was dressed as if it were in the late 1800's and the kids got to enjoy panning for gold. The area is simply beautiful. One only thing is to keep in mind that there are a lot of casino's in the area and... More

Well worth the senior price. Docent was informative & helpful. Don't miss the video -- it's interesting and full of the history of this Wild West gold mining town. Lots to see both inside and out.

This is a great museum with mutiple buildings packed with so many interesting things. I love antiques and history so I could have spent the majority of the day viewing everything.

We walked over here from our hotel and spent a pleasant afternoon. It was small, but informative, and very well laid out. I loved the historical buildings, trains and artifacts. I recommend it.

Howard is a member of the Victorian Society who greets you at the door and gives you a little history of the former train station before you take your self-directed tour. You should check this place out--with Howard's information in mind, you enjoy what you see next in the museum. Cost isn't expensive--about $5 per person and well worth it!... More

This museum had something for everyone. The building was beautiful, three stories, and is located by the train depot. Loved the Victorian floor and the double staircase! Very educational for all and the museum staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very interesting museum and the staff were very knowledgeable. Some of the outside buildings were locked and we weren't able to go inside them. There was a lot of artifacts and pictures to see. They offered military and senior discounts.

We really liked touring this museum and the surrounding land and buildings. There was so much to see and learn about. I would love to go back with when I had more time and take another tour. My daughter kept taking pictures trying to catch an orb (we heard it had ghost) but she was unsuccessful. When we were leaving... More
