Really loved the variety, length of the rides and the scenery. We rode from town which was a nice alternative to driving to the parking area. Wasn't very crowded and we got far enough out that we saw almost no one else.

These summer trails can start in town. They are well maintain & well traveled, with nice flowers and views. More spectacular trails are at higher elevation (Oh Be Joyful, West Maroon Pass to Aspen)/ Thank you, City of Crested Butte, for rehabbing an preserving these trails!

The Lower Upper Loop is a biking trail that is scenic and is at 8000 feet above sea level. If you love the outdoors, PLEASE take this fun trail ride. Be careful...most of the trail is easy to ride but there are sections that are rocky and a bit tough. We just walked our bikes over these parts and there... More

We are beginner hikers to Colorado's trails, and we thoroughly enjoyed this loop. Very pretty views!

We did the lower loop after Lupin and loved the views and trails. I would highly recommend for beginners to bike or hike this trail.

Wanted a less concrete-y walk into town this was a great alternative. Got directions from the folks in the mountain bike shop at base to the trail's beginning (good thing, would not have found it otherwise). Shady, goes through some Aspen groves, then took Tony's Trail until it hit a private road (open for public use but no dogs) which... More

Because we Crested Buttians like to make things difficult, there are two parts (more or less) to this trail - Upper and Upper Upper. Basically, the trail wraps around the western flank of Mt. Crested Butte and takes you on a fun jaunt through the aspens. They're basically two halves of the same trail. Hiking wise - they're fine. No... More

When you are surrounded by some of the most beautiful natural landscapes this country has to offer, it is hard to say that the Upper/Upper Upper loops are the best. They are perfect for anyone looking for a day walk around Mt. Crested Butte that is easily accessible and not to difficult of terrain. The Skyland Boulders is a wonderful... More

It was fall break so there wasn't anything going on in CB.... just the way we like it! It gives you a chance to be alone on the trails and soak in all the beauty. Wear layers in the fall because it can change temps with the winds and the fronts. The aspen trees were almost whispering to us as... More
