Ok, so maybe it's nice for a ski vacation, but I was just wondering through Colorado and happened to be caught out in a blizzard. It was late, I had been sitting in traffic for 5 hours while they closed I-70 and decided to take a chance on the first exit I came to. It happened to be this place.... more

I just spent 10 days at Copper Mountain resort. I skied there for 5 days and skied the other days at Snowmass and Arapahoe. If you get fresh snow every day, Copper Mountain is pretty good, but if you don't you're better off going to another resort or just staying in your room. Copper Mountain does not groom their runs.... more

We chose Copper Mountain for the family aspect based on reviews and ratings read online. The resort is fine, the runs fine and the snow was fine. The trouble we ran into was with a ski instructor called Ryan in the 3-5 yr old ski school. My 4 yr old daughter was stubborn and didn't want to do the snowplow... more

Do not go to Copper Mountain if you are a beginner or have a family. They do not protect their guests from unruly packs of snowboarders coming out of the terrain parks. Being sprayed with snow and coming within inches of my children in a wide open run is completely unacceptable. These people were very talented and should be on... more

We stayed at Copper over Christmas 2008. The person at check in was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The condo was in an older building, but well maintained and a short walk to the lift. It had two bedrooms and baths, living area and kitchen with a balcony overlooking the mountain. The lines were short, plus we purchased the passes that... more

Our family of 4 (two kids aged 12 and 16) stayed in an awesome private condo (found through VRBO.com) in Spruce Lodge (Center Village) from Dec. 28/08-Jan 2/09. Mostly skied the Union Creek area since we adults are green skiers and the kids just learning to board. Shuttles from Center Village (very near our condo) to Union Creek were frequent... more

Travelled here the week of July 11. Fun activities for all ages. The girls (7 and 9) enjoyed the Bungee jump, even though I thought it was too short. We took the chairlift to the top, hiked and had lunch at the Solstice Cafe. It was a perfect day and just the right price ($50 for four of us). The... more

Since our family had only gone skiing/snowboarding once before (in VA) we did tons of research comparing Copper to Keystone, Breck, Snowbird, Lake Tahoe, Buttermilk and several other resorts. We went during Spring Break. We have 2 sons, ages 10 and 13 who wanted to learn both skiing and snowboarding. We rented a 1 BDRM condo direct from an owner... more

I first skied at Copper Mountain in 1986. In the last 10 years, I have taken may family there for 5 separate ski weeks. The physical layout of the mountain is very good in that it tends to keep the different levels of skiers separated. The major problem is that there is a bottleneck at the bottom in the central... more

Arrived at Copper Mountain on 3/13/2008, stayed at Copper Junction (two bedroom condo) in the village. GREAT location. Literally 100 feet to the American Eagle lift. The condo was a bit dated but the space was perfect for a party of 6 or more. The Bee-Line Advantage ticket (compliments of the lodging company) was quite a treat. There was never... more
