I'm from FL visiting my 20 yr old son who is in the USAF. This was a great excursion for us to do together! The stables were nice (got beautiful pics with the setting), horses well fed, wranglers were decent, & there was a all kinds of terrain, high and a little uneven at some points, but beautiful with several... Liked the staff at the ranch. Loved the horses and scenery. The guides were very knowledgeable. Kind, friendly, courteous staff. Did not like that the horses were being taken to some very challenging terrain.

Took a two hour ride with adults and kids alike. All levels of terrain and the views were gorgeous. The head lady checking us in is a bit annoying and over the top in her 'position of command' and that was irritating... quite honestly I was wanting to tell her off a time or two, but bit my lip. Other... More

I took the two-hour ride. We got to see deer, even during the mid-day ride, plus some faded cougar tracks. We climbed up some rocks on the horses - they knew exactly what to do. There was no trotting. They assign horses based on the rider's experience and take very good care of the horses. I would go again!

We had well trained, well taken care of horses for our 1 hour trail ride through Garden of the Gods. The scenery was beautiful! The guides were helpful, although the memorized speeches about the different rock formations felt very staged. We went out with a group of 16 people which felt too big, however they did sent out 3 guides... More

We had a great time with the horses and staff here. We took the 2 hour ride and saw all of the Garden of the Gods. Spectacular on horse back!

We took our 9 year old horseback riding for the first time here, and we were not disappointed! Our wrangler was friendly, our horses gentle, and the ride was easy and beautiful. We only did the hour ride, but they do offer longer rides as well. There were only 5 in our group...I did see some groups that had many... More

We tried for two days to be able to tour the Garden of the Gods by car, but there was no parking both days so we could hike around. We found a flyer for the Academy Stables that showed horse tours through the park. We arrived without a reservation, and because of our time constraints, were worked into a tour... More

You can just tell when a place doesn't have the staff to keep the things going. They are just a bit short with the customers and look a bit off their game. You can tell they like their job, but they have taken too many tourists out on the same ride, day after day and hour after hour. The horses... More
