Awesome, Another way of Going through Garden of the Gods.

The Academy Riding Stables is an excellent way to saddle a horse when you do not own one. The prices are very good with several options. I called up and asked for a white... read more

This was the worst horse stable we have ever been to. The staff was not at all helpful, the wranglers were rude and not at all fun to ride with. Garden of the Gods is beautiful, but you will see all the same things on foot. Also, if you have teens they will need to wear a helmet if they... More

The Academy Riding Stables is an excellent way to saddle a horse when you do not own one. The prices are very good with several options. I called up and asked for a white female horse, and got it. I like horse back riding and the Garden of the Gods, perfect together. I had such a good time, and it... More

You want to arrive early to fill out your paperwork and get the low down on riding. This is just a walking ride around the Garden of the Gods park. My boyfriend and I went for the 1 hour ride and neither one of us had been on a horse for years so an hour ride was perfect. My boyfriend's... More

This was a fun way to see the Garden of the Gods. The staff was very helpful and informative. They were very thorough in going over what to do and expect from the horses (as novice riders we appreciated this)

We enjoyed the ride and views. Luckily we were in the back with a nice guide, (an Aggie!). However, the lead guide was a b****. She was rude and offensive. The other customers noticed too. It seems she would go out of her way to be rude. My jaw dropped at some of her comments. If we had been close... More

My son and I are huge horse lovers but most places won't let him ride by himself because he's under 10. But Academy Riding Stables has rules that allow kids 8 or over to ride. The only difference is that they used to have a weight limit of 250 lbs but recently changed it to 200 lbs so I'd imagine... More

It was my wife's first time on a horse. I had not been on a horse in many years, though I used to ride quite a bit. Academy Riding Stables did a great job in accommodating us. The website advises you to make reservations beforehand. I took a chance and called them in the morning and reserved an afternoon trail... More

Went to reserve a two hour ride and was notified their ax weight has been reduced to 200lbs. I'm 6'0 and 215lbs and this is the first time I've been unable to ride somewhere I was visiting. Too bad, I was really looking forward to going.

We arrived early and were matched up with horses for us. After meeting our guide and horses we spent 2 amazing hours seeing the most beautiful sites on horseback. The most amazing part was going up through the trails into the rock formations. Very exciting for me and my two children (ages 11 and 13). Vivian was a wonderful guide... More
