Took family from out of town on the Cog Railway to the top of the Peak. It is a great way to show people from out of town the beauty of Pikes Peak and Colorado itself. They enjoyed seeing the big horn sheep and eating donuts at the top. All in all a pleasant way to spend a day. More

I rode a bike down from the top and really enjoyed the ride...only problem was the road construction. It was wet and muddy and nasty on a bike rider... More

I was anticipating a difficult 19-mile trip up the mountain. Instead it was a very easy drive and completely paved. At the top, enjoy the World Famous Pikes Peak doughnuts. More

This drive is beautiful, but not for anyone with fear of heights. The road used to be mostly dirt, but now is paves, but even with guard rails, the drive down is a little tense in places. More

Every time we visit the area of Colorado Springs one of the must do events is the Pikes Peak Hwy. Last summer when we were there, the line at the gate to get in was so long that we didn't get to take the drive. It's not for the faint at heart. The road is only paved part of the... More

Can not believe the views. Have patience and give yourself plenty of time to drive. Bring a jacket can be snowing in the summer time at the summit. More

The road up is long and very scenic! As you come down they stop you to check your brakes to make sure they're not overheated. At least they did the last time I went. Piece of advice is to crack your window as you are driving up to avoid the affect of the altitude. It is breathtaking up there, just... More
