This museum is actually located in the same building as the headquarters for US Figure Skating. It's right next to the historic Broadmoor hotel. I would consider it a must for any sports fan traveling in the Colorado Springs area. There's enough highlights of famous skaters that the most casual sports/Olympics fan would enjoy themselves. The top floor features quite... More

Lots of great displays. See dresses worn by the top US skaters of the present and past. Well worth the drive. Excellent display of skate blades over the last hundred years on the lower level.

This two level museum has a collection of skating costumes, olympic medals and information about all of the famous names in skating history on display. The first floor has artifacts donated by important figure skaters such as awards and clothing from famous competitions. There is a little history about these people. There is a section that discusses important elements of... More

Most people don't even know about this place. It is a very short walk from the Broadmoor and is well worth seeing even if you are not into ice skating. I had the whole place to myself. After paying your $5.00 entry fee you go through the glass doors on your right. They have displays from actual outfits worn, medals,... More

This museum is a hidden gem that people pass-by when driving to and from the Broadmoor Hotel. I was there on July 18, 2013. The museum was empty which was most unfortunate. The displays are outstanding (actual gold medals, costumes, and supporting equipment). The entry price is too low ($5.00) so make a nice donation. The staff of one (sweet... More

This was a very impressive museum showing the history of skating with past champions. There were lots of actual dresses and costumes worn and medals won. Good history of skates as well. Loved some of the old pictures. Also good videos of synchronized skating and jumping. All around good museum of the sport of figure skating. Also good art, drawings,... More

As a child I came to the Broadmoor and witnessed the skating back in the days of early competition and it was most enjoyable. I have been fortunate to have a friend whose parents were both Olympic Skaters and got to know how difficult it was on family life but what a gift the Broadmoor was to the sport.

If figure skating is something that you enjoy, then you'll love the museum. From the history of figure skating to costumes to the hall of fame, it's presented well. A great way to spend an afternoon! The only think missing? The original Broadmoor skating arena where many Olympians were trained.
