It honestly just depends what exhibits they have showing...one time I went and the had the very first American coin....then another time I went and it was just about "Native American Currency" that really had nothing to do with currency. I personally didn't find that engaging. You can also get coins straight from the mint if you collect coins. Check... More

We actually went here because our teenage sons wanted to see the museum. The exhibits were very impressive and we learned quite a bit about the history of types of money from all over the world. Definitely and interesting museum and worth the trip for us. The museum is not huge so it does not take too long to go... More

Neat place to visit and a lot of history on the various types of currencies throughout the centuries. Educational and enjoyable.

The exhibits are well-lit, the story of money throughout history is told in easy-to-understand terms, and the coins themselves are spectacular to behold. Not to be missed! Plan to spend a couple of hours enjoying the exhibits. Hint: There is a very nice free dedicated parking lot across the street from the adjoining Fine Arts Center.

Clearly, this is not for everyone. But if you have an interest in "money" (I don't, in this sense), or history (I do), you'll find an hour's visit to be quite interesting. The temporary display -- in this case money and finance during the Civil War era -- I found very interesting. But, then again, I'm from Virginia and always... More

Of the money museums I have visited, the ANA Money Museum is one of the best. Many exhibits illustrated how money in its many forms has been used to obtain goods. A special exhibit of rare coins is beautiful and amazing.

Whether a long-time collector, or just curious, a very good museum devoted to money, both paper and coin, from the US and around the world, from the past to the present.

I was in Colorado Springs during the flooding, so no hiking. Went to the museum on a very rainy afternoon, and very glad I did. Fascinating display of the history of money throughout the ages. Friendly staff, with interactive displays. Exhibits of all sorts of money.

I have visited here at least 4-5 times and I have never been disappointed! I have on occasion seen a UNIQUE (yes, only one in existence) coin and several multimillion dollar 1804 US silver dollars and two 1913 Liberty Head nickels (only five of these have been known, ever). Once, there were two of each of these rarities on display... More
