Most people have never seen all the different kinds of American money on display here. I am fondest of the gold coins. More

This place is not well advertised but a treasure trove (no pun intended) of interesting facts and history. If you are into history or looking at a lot of money, this is the place for you. When we went there was no one there. They had very well done displays showing how money was a big part of the civil... More

I collect a few coins and love the civil war history. This place also has gold and silver coins from the Bass collection. A must see. More

...I'm sure you would enjoy this place. I took my two teenage sons, and I daresay, we were pretty bored. There is a small entry fee, but not worth it in our opinions. A few things were kind of interesting...like seeing bills that had been printed incorrectly...but other than that, we didn't stay long and were sorry we wasted our... More

The Money Museum was more interesting that I expected. They show how money reflects our history and sometimes changes the course of history. The display cases are very well documented and cared for. You learn why certain coins and very rare and valuable, and how others never gained favor with the public and were discountinued. One fun display in the... More

A hidden treasure in Coloroda Springs. The coins are displayed where they are easy to see and many have interactive descriptions. Lots of interesting historical facts that are relative to the coins. Helpful, friendly staff. More

I'm not a coin collector nor a big history buff, but the way they display their collections is very fun and engaging. Kids can sift thru a treasure chest for a coin to take home, complete a quiz (answers found at various displays) to earn a prize. Additional factoids about different aspects generously supplied. Engaging front desk makes sure your... More

Our group included Grandma and Grandpa (huge coin fan), Mom, and kids (ages 8 & 10). We went on a Tuesday morning, shortly after opening. The museum is amazing!!! So many coins on display and wonderful history written out so the kids can read and Grandpa could enjoy also! I thought the kids would be bored, but they truly enjoyed... More

We liked the money museum. It's not huge but has wonderful displays. It starts with early forms of money (like shells) and works it's way up to modern money. There are 3 main exhibit areas. The first is the history of money, then there is a personal collection of rare coins, and our favorite was downstairs - the bills! You... More
