This museum covers monetary systems worldwide for thousands of years. It was amazing how much I learned about something I use everyday. It took about 2 hours, but there was a special "Shipwreck/treasure" exhibit there during my visit. There is also a large coin collection that ranges in dates from the late 1700's to early 1900's. All of the exhibits... More

A different type of museum. Learning about something we use everyday and take for granted. My father was a coin collector and I sorted change a lot as a kid. You can't find the coins now like you did back in the 60's. So it was interesting to see all about coins.

The History of Money Museum is a must see if you are a history buff or just want to know more about our nations coinage or the history of money for the last 2,000 plus years. There are the two rarest American coins on display in the museum. First an 1804 silver dollar and secondly a 1913 Liberty Head Nickel... More

If you have spare time, this is a very interesting and cheap museum but I wouldn't go out of your way to include it in your trip. Right now they have a treasure chest scavenger hunt which my boys loved. There is a lot of reading which can get boring for younger children. They have a play center on the... More

This is worth the nominal effort and time it takes to find and visit the museum. I am not a numismatist; so some of the more technical displays were lost on me; but I found some of the historical displays really interesting. I was glad I stopped. If it is rainy and foggy; put it on your list!

I've been a coin collector since my youth, to me this is like Heaven. The exhibits are historically captivating and the coins and currency are breath taking for any numismatist and history buff alike. it's right across from the college and parking was not a problem.

Well done. Small fee. Good layout for kids and adults. Some interactive video displays several samples and explanations of coin development and design. Nice coin displays. Several samples of ancient coins, international paper money. Vast historical arrangment. Included few coin presses and demo on certain day of week. Highly recommended. Something different from typical museums. Actual historical info.good for 1.5... More

The Money Museum is a great place to visit and get a fairly complete history of the American Dollar. They even have a room dedicated to the Gold Coin Currency from the First part of the 20th Century and until the Gold Currency was called from circulation. Also, on Saturdays they have an event that you will want to take... More

The Money Museum has some great exhibits and is fun on the days that the mini-mint down stairs is running. We spent about an hour exploring the Museum. I liked the misprinted bill section. See if you can find the $15 bill.
