Enjoyed the tour and exhibits very much...lots of selection in the Team USA store which was perfect timing in conjunction with the olympics!
We expected more. I mean Colorado Springs is home of the US olympic committee. Its really a small campus with some outdated buildings. The inside of which didn't seem to be able to inspire anyone to Gold. That said, they have a nice video and its a leisurely tour that makes for a nice stop in between destinations.
Most people come to Colorado Springs for the Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak and a way stop for the Rocky Mountains. But the Olympic Training Center five minutes off I-25 is well worth the time to drive thru the little town of C'Springs and actually see Olympic athletes in training! Your tour guide will be an athlete too.
We brought our two teens and two college kids here to get them excited about the 2014 Winter Games. Most of the tour is outside walking around so dress accordingly. They also have a variety of sporting events there. The USOC Hall of Fame is small, but good if you are a fan of the Olympics. They also have Bob Beamon's... More
We were here for a national Rhythmic Gymnastics competition. For all of the people who want to know what the gyms are like, it was perfect for what we needed. Perfect temperature, High ceilings, just a great workout center overall. We also decided to explore a little bit, so we took the guided tour of the center. I definitely recommend... More
I really liked going here, even though it was just for a few minutes. I went and took some photos and then went to the gift shop. We looked through the hall of fame and I even saw some girls on the netball team. Seeing future Olympians is pretty cool. Go for the experience and the photo opportunities.
I guess I had false expectations of how cool this place would be. It is nice, and I am glad I went, but nothing to rave over!
It was great to see where and how our Olympic athletes are trained. The tour guide was very informed and pleasant with his descriptions and information concerning the facility and the athletes. while not in a very scenic part of town the old air base has been made into a beautiful facility. Well worth the visit!!
We stumbled on the Olympic Training Center as we were driving through Colorado Springs. We went in right as they were starting a tour. It was awesome to see where the Olympic athletes lived and trained. Our tour guide was awesome and took us to all the different buildings and explained each one. It was fun for everyone!
