The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is an amazing zoo. It is perched on a hillside with amazing views of the city. The animals are easy to see and their enclosures feel like natural settings. There's a lot of walking, a ton of up and down hill, so you can get your cardio workout in while you are having fun with your... more

I really enjoyed feeding the giraffes at the zoo. The giraffe is one of my favorite animals, so to see it up so close was a treat for me. The webcam was also a highlight for my family. While I visited the giraffes, I called my family back home and they were able to see me at the zoo on... more

This is wonderful smaller zoo that is great fun for everyone. The giraffes and bears were both huge hits! Many of the exhibits allow you to get very close to the animals, thus making it quite interactive. A few of the exhibits need to be enlarged and updated, but you can tell that many of them are newer and are... more

I read all the reviews, both positive and negative, but decided to give this zoo the benefit of the doubt and visit myself. I wish I hadn't! I can't get the sight of the poor, crowded animals living in filth out of my mind. How this zoo remains at the #3 spot of destinations in Colorado Springs is beyond me!... more

This is an awesome Zoo set in natural surroundings. I have never been to a zoo that gives you the opportunity to be "up close" to the animals. Our 3 year old grand daughter loved everything! more

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is unique, built on Cheyenne Mountain and has great views of the surrounding area. When you pay your admission, add the Sky Ride, (available every day during the summer, weekends only from September to May) and have your ticket validated when you take your first ride, and you can then ride as many times as you wish... more

We loved this zoo! Stopping by the giraffes and feeding them are a must! Bring your walking shoes for sure, it's not a large zoo, but lots of walking. The bear exhibit is also one of my favorite, I can watch the bears for hours. This zoo is a must see while youre in Colorado Springs. more

Nice zoo with $1.00 tram - or else be prepared to walk steep inclines. Numerous giraffes to feed crackers to. Nice gorilla environment. Grounds are clean and nice set-up. There is also a mountain chair lift ride for nice views of the park and environs, but $5.00 extra charge. more

This is a great zoo built on the side of a mountain with lots of uphill walking; be sure to wear comfortable shoes. For $1 you can buy cookies to feed the giraffes As with most zoos, the animals are more active when the weather is cooler. more
