We took the cog railroad up to the top of Pike's Peak and then did the bike ride down. I'm terrified of heights and was wondering why in the world I decided this would be a good idea when we got up to the top. The bikes they provide are top notch with specialized brakes (which I used liberally, especially... More

We took the Ride & Bike tour; cog railroad to the top of Pikes Peak, then rode bikes down. This was so much fun! Spencer & Peter took great care of us. They got us to the train, were waiting for us at the top, then did a great job explaining how to ride down the mountain safely. We were... More

Wow! What a great experience! This was a once in a lifetime experience but well worth it. Scary at first. Going down the side of a mountain on a bicycle at 35-45 mph. No guard rails at some spots! After you become accustomed to the bike and the feeling that you are flying, it is a lot of fun. The... More

***THIS TRIP IS A MUST!!!*** My boyfriend and I came from Houston to visit family in Colorado Springs and came across the bike tours. We weren't sure how I would handle elevation so we decided to go with the Bike Gold Camp Tour, that way- we could go at our own pace. This was absolutely one of the most fun... More

We rented bikes from Pikes Peak Mountain Tours and had a blast coasting down Pikes Peak. We took the Cog Train up and then biked down. We took our hole family (ages 12 to 72) and had a great time. The bikes have two disk brakes for slowing you down as it is about 18 miles down hill. The bikes... More

My son and I did the Bike Gold Camp tour. We enjoyed this because it was at our own pace and we could stop when we wanted to hike around. The views are amazing and there are very few other people which is nice. I think it was around 20 miles, but very easy downhill. The staff at the shop... More

What a great way to end the summer!! Went with a dear friend and my 17 year old son and had a great time. The start was pretty cold and a bit scary but by the time we got further down the mountain it was beautiful and very enjoyable. What a great crew of people that they have working here.... More

Our party consisted of a 70 year old ,68 year old and two 61 year olds, so not a bunch of youngsters. I would guesstimate that the majority of people in our group were 50 plus. My point is that this is available and doable by most any age. The day we went a was a day after it had... More

The guides were nice and informative and did a good job of accomodating everyone but things that would have made this trip better.... - if the guides introduced themselves, had everyone introdce themselves and if the guides had clearly told eveyone up front how the day would evolve. - there were 20 riders in our group....in my opinion too many....
