We loved Garden of the Gods. It was a little busy because it was July 4th weekend, but we were able to enjoy ourselves. The visitor center provides a map and directions on where to park with references for the rocks. There are also informational pictures and interactive models in the visitors center. The best part was that it was... more

Visitors discouraged by high prices of many local attractions will enjoy visiting this park. Natural sandstone formations are beautiful and dramatic, especially at sunrise/sunset. There are abundant walking trails, and this beats slowly driving through the entire park, if you have the time. Please note that rock climbing requires a permit-- even for "bouldering"-- and your rescue from any precipice... more

A must see in the Colorado Springs area. We checked in at the visitors center and were told there was a tour leaving in 10 minutes. We hurried over the park and were treated to a tour with a guide who knew everything and more about the park. It was fantastic. Definitely would recommend the free tour. more

This is a pretty interesting site, with unusual rock formations on the mountain. Certainly worth while if you are in the Colorado Springs area. It's nothing compared to Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park (so if visiting both you might want to go here first), but still, a pretty and interesting site. Amazing and spectacular? I'd just say it was pretty... more

We were not surprised to read all the accolades....this is one beautiful spot that individuals, couples and families can all enjoy. Our schedule only allowed for a sunny Saturday visit...and there were a lot of visitors. A nice day during the week might make it easier to find a parking place. more

When this land was donated, it was required to be free forever. What an amazing place, my sons enjoyed it so much,we went back the next day! We skipped the movie ($5 charge), but the visitor center was worth a quick stop. Be sure to get a map so you don't miss the section outside of the "loop". Also, get... more

This free park, part of the City of Colorado Springs, never fails to inspire awe, no matter how many times you go, or how many people are there, or how many reviews are written about it. You can enjoy the park by car, by bike, on foot and even by horseback. It's always better in person than by photo. It's... more

I used to think the Garden of the Gods was well named but I revised last year to discover that they have allowed home building in and around the formations. I can't imagine what those lots must have cost. Ron more

If you are near Colorado Springs you have to stop at Garden of the Gods to enjoy the wonderful views. Start by driving around and stopping at the look out points, especially the first one! Then come back around, park in the main lot and go for a walk. The rock formations are beautiful and it's a great place for... more
