The Academy was great. Had signs of where to go and where to park. The facilities were very nice, multiple events going on and the Academy could hold all the people and vehicles.

A great family excursion close to Garden of the Gods. Make sure to tour the museum, chapel and especially the film they show about the AFA. It will make you want to sign up

The newest of the three military academies is open to the public. The 4 year university provides top notch academic training as well as leadership and military training.

Raining and cold but stilled enjoyed the place. Check out the visitor center and watch the film. Send 2-3 hours. Check out the chapel!!

The infrastructure is quiet nice but the real payoff is the beautiful scenery at the academy. Only a small portion of the academy is available to sightseers. Best visited as a pit stop when going towards Denver from Colorado Springs for about an hour or two.

I love the chapel with lots of art and wonderful architecture, but even the information center was fun to look at. The views are great.

From hiking trails to horseback riding with beautiful views, from the chapel to a football game at falcon stadium, there's plenty to do at the USAF Academy. I really enjoy the discounts provided to the DoD and military for horse rentals at the horse stables. Advice: Eat before you come, since eating facilities are limited.

It was interesting but it didn't take much time to go through. We also visited the chapel which was beautiful. I would make time for it if visiting the area but if you had to chose a hike or the Academy, I would chose the hike. This is coming from an Army brat who has been on too many posts... More
