Definitely worth visiting if only to stand in awe looking at the fantastic facilities the trainee airmen (and women) have at their disposal. The centre piece for visitors has to be the church, which was an amazing piece of architecture. The visitor centre has a nice video of a year in the life of a new recruit which was insightful.

Picturesque campus that provides a great glimpse of the life of an Air Force Academy cadet. Visit the Chapel and the visitor center. Also, if you can, play a round of golf, or attend a sporting even.

We were in Colorado Springs for the region IX championships, which were held in the cadet's gym. What a wonderful facility! They had dual apparatus set up, marvelous scoring equipment, and nice seating in their bleachers. I believe (from the signs) that the public does not ordinarily have access to these buildings, so it was a treat to be here.... More

What a magnificent Chapel ! Can only say you have to see. Was not on my list, but now I am a believer! Because of time restraints we only saw the chapels, gift shop and a twenty minute movie of the academy that was excellent! The views breath taking!

We were very disappointed that the academy did not offer a tour. We live in Annapolis and have taken a number of tours of the Naval Academy.

U must see all 4 of the chapels housed in the one building. They are all stunning. The walk to the chapel is pretty steep so be ready for that but it is a must see

I was somewhat disappointed in that we couldn't see the whole place but I guess that is the sign of the times. The Chapel is a must see. The visitor center was mediocre but the orientation video was excellent. Took about two hours to do the tour.

Must see the Cadets' Chapel. Amazing spires. The interior was reflective and prayerful. I saw Diamond Lil which was used during Vietnam war with its huge wingspan. This place is an open air museum of aircrafts used during the war.

My husband turned down an appointment to the Air Force Academy many years ago and I believe he's regretted it all his life. We had a wonderful tour of the Visitor's Center and Chapel during the winter - and certainly it's worth the price of admission!! (free!) The Visitor's Center is full of history (self-guided) and a movie on the... More
