A beautiful campus, nestled into Colorado Springs' front range. The visitor center gives a great idea of what it might be like to be a cadet there. The chapel is lovely. But be sure to catch the cadets in action as they march or walk on the parade grounds to classes. Speak with one, if you get the chance. These... More

The Air Force Academy was a real surprise. I expected the beautiful setting, but the Chapel is an outstanding example of the best of 1950s modern architecture--both inside and out. I am not a huge fan of modern architecture, but this building is stunning and makes the whole visit worth it.

at the Cadet Chapel. Wonderfully kept grounds. A nice snapshot of how our future leaders are taught and housed.

The Air Force Academy is a nice place to visit with a cadet that knows the area. Very large area placed at the foothills of the Rockies. There is a visitors area, but you will most likely get lost trying to find it.

The USAFA is a modern museum that will be of interest to both kids and adults. You will see actual planes, uniforms, etc. that will be of interest to all ages. The short walk to the chapel is totally worth the time if you can do the walk. Try to go in the morning if you are there in summer... More

The visitor center was amazing and welcomed me and my son. It tough my son all about the college and we hiked up to the chapel which was amazing, and we learned lots about. Just remember the Jewish/Buddhist chapel section is hard to find, but all in all great.

This was awesome to see. It was just beautiful inside. Then to go watch the boys march. To see the school and the grounds. We even drove over to the football stadium. Go Air Force!!

I tend to avoid the high-traffic tourist attractions in my home town, but face it, when you have visitors from out-of-state, sometimes you just have to do it. I hadn't been to the AFA for about 25 years, and I was pleasantly surprised at all the changes. The chapels, of course, don't change much. They're beautiful and special and musn't... More
