You will see the beautiful Chapel, loads of deer herds on the Academy grounds, and you might even see some of the cadets doing formations. Beautiful location.

When in the Colorado Springs area consider spending an hour or so at the Air Force Academy. There isn't as much to see as West Point but there is a visitors center with displays and movie. The scenery is beautiful and visitors are allowed to walk the grounds. The chapel is a must see with an interior that is reminiscent... More

Take some time to visit the United States Air Force Academy while you're in Colorado Springs -- it's well worth it! The Academy's chapel is one-of-a-kind with its unique architecture-- it's absolutely gorgeous inside with all of the beautiful glass. Stop by the visitor center to watch a short movie on the Academy and to see all of the informative... More

The Air Force Academy is a very interesting place. The chapel is very pretty and worth going in to see it. I may be a little prejudice about it because my dad helped in the building of it.

We made a quick stop to the Air Force Academy on our way from Denver to Colorado Springs. The north entrance is right off the interstate, and it's a beautiful drive through the base. There are several stops for visitors, and they are clearly marked with falcon signage. We went through the visitor center and its great gift shop and... More

We visited on a Saturday morning. Looked around the visitors center, watched the 20 min video. Drove around a bit, stopped at the chapple which was pretty. A few neat airplanes on display around the grounds. But things are really spread out. Not much to see. If you're looking to fill time, it's worth a stop. But other things in... More

If you are a tourist in Colorado Springs you must visit the Academy along the Rampart Range. Wonderful view of the campus from the chapel area. The chapel is another must see. Stop in the gift shops for something to remember. If there is an outside event or parade it is especially impressive.

I came here with family on a weekend and it was really neat. My uncle attended the Air Force Academy many years ago, so it was even more special for me to be able to see it. There was a great must-see video in the visitor's center that explains a lot about the academy. I felt that the merchandise store... More
