We journeyed to the air force academy to see the chapel and were pleasantly surprised at the museum as well. The short film runs frequently and its very informational about what cadets go through. The only downsize is the sheer amount of shop items, and the prices. A good, short tourist attraction!

The USAF Academy facility is a must see if you're out West. Having seen West Point and Annapolis, the AFA stands out as the best, by far. The visitor's center has a great clip about the life of cadets. The chapel is amazing in light of thae fact it was built in 1957. The athletic facilities are breathtaking when you... More

This place was so much fun for my son's team to play in. Us parents liked the open snack bar and the gift shop. The cellular service is horrible but its an arena so I expect as much.

This museum in visitors center is so tacky and outdated. It's mostly just photos and cheap posters with descriptions. movie is just a recruitment video. The outdoor jets are probably the best part, but they are parked all over the academy, so you have to get someone to tell you where they all are and some are open to public.... More

On the northwest side of Colorado Springs, the Academy produces some of the greatest military leaders in this country. The Cadet Chapel is know around the world for it's beautiful design and is the symbol most recognizable for this Service School. The grounds are a must see.

The visitors center, Cadet Chapel and overlooks provide a glimpse into what the Air Force Academy is all about. Available most days throughout the year, but the experience is best in good walking weather so you can appreciate the awesome vistas.

As a military wife, I have seen my fair share of military bases, but this one has a really nice visitor center, short hiking trail and architecturally amazing chapel. The video they show at the visitor center is free, well done and very interesting. If you go early enough (11:30 or so), you can see all the cadets marching to... More

There are a few places that I take all my guests that come into town and the chapel at the Air Force Academy is one of them. The detail in the chapel from the pews to the stain glass is amazing. We were lucky enough to be there when someone was practicing the pipe organ but even if no one... More

The Visitors Centre has a load of stuff to buy with a range of prices. From here it is a short pleasant walk to the Chapel and an absolute must to visit as part of your excursion. Stunning building with a lovely atmosphere. Underneath the main building are smaller chapels to cater for appropriately for all faiths. These can be... More
