Have been taking my visitors to Colorado Springs for Sunday services and then over to the visitor center to see the exhibits and a short movie, They all were impressed and also emotional seeing the young looking air force cadets at chruch and realizing the commitment and sacrifice they are making for us. The gift shop is also extensive and... more

Went from Akron-Canton (Frontier) to Denver to Colo. Spgs. (Lynx Airlines). Was able to stay on campus at the AF Academy and see AF football at Falcon Stadium (AF won over San Diego State). Saw all the sites there incl. the Visitor's Ctr and the Cadet Chapel. Also went to Aspen (Enterprise car rental) and saw all the sites there... more

Even without the striking image of the chapel, the Air Force Academy is an extraordinary visit. Beautiful grounds and hundreds of inspiring young men and women. Makes you proud. more

This was a waste of time. It is a college campus, nothing more. The chapel everyone talks about is just a funky building. Yes I guess the surroundings are pretty (as a colorado native it's not impressive, just mountains) but over all extremely boring. more

As a side note, we were on the road alot that day in the Col Spgs area and could see planes up all day and early evening. The drive through the campus is beautiful with the mountains in the distance. There are several overlooks where you... more

Drove through for a quick visit. Would like to get to see a football game there sometime. The stadium backdrop is the mountains. Looks like the Academy was just thrown right in there. more

My husband and I went to tour the USAFA. He is a 1998 graduate of the Academy. The place was absolutley beautiful. You have the mountains in the distance. The beautiful Cadet Chapel. You may be able to walk on the Terrazzo and check out the cadet dorms, with an active service member. You cannot go wrong with Colorado. If you... more

The Cadet Chapel at the US Air Force Academy is beautiful! It's an A-frame metal church with beautiful stain glass and huge pipe organ. It's so gorgeous - it's hard to describe in words. If you can - ask someone to give you a tour - the tour guides are full of informative details. We went twice and learned new... more
