Beautiful views, nice walking trail

Such a beautiful lake nestled at the base of Hahn's Peak. We walked along the lake, nice easy walk and took gorgeous photos of the area.

The drive into Steamboat Lake SP and Pearl Lake SP from Steamboat Springs is about 27 miles. If you want a smaller venue and you can dry camp, do check out Pearl Lake. The campground is more primitive than the Steamboat Lake campgrounds but it's still really charming and Pearl Lake is perfect for kayaks, canoes, and fishing. It's also... More

There's a nice nature trail with good signage and views of the lake. Another trail that leads from the visitor center across the main road that takes you past the old miner's village that has all new cabins now. It then goes past a historical marker about the gold mine that was there.

Pearl Lake is worth the $7 fee to enter the park. Just two miles on a well groomed dirt road you are nestled in he mountains. Great spot for a picnic! Bathrooms and trash areas. Dip into the lake too!

Both Steamboat Lake and Pearl Lake have their own Colorado State Parks and are only a few miles apart on the same road out of Steamboat Springs. Steamboat Lake is bigger and perhaps more majestic, as you can see higher peaks. But is also has more people and is less attractive to me as a lake and park. Since there... More

The Tombstone Trail is a nice easy hike. The area around is beautiful to look at. The visitor's center is very nice. Saw nesting osprey, mountain bluebirds, hummingbirds. There are a couple of other trails but they aren't quite as scenic and end up taking you next to the road with no shade, it would be nice to have a... More

This is a truly beautiful and awesome park you must see! We walked the Tombstone Trail, which is very easy. Great views from this trail and a brochure with numbered points of interest. Ate our picnic lunch at one of the many picnic tables and a doe strolled 20 yards from us! We biked the Willow Creek Trail to the... More

My wife and son and I, and members of my wife's family stayed up at pearl lake state park at the last weekend of may 2015. If you like peace and quite, it's the place to go. I recommend staying on the lower loop, it's a little more shaded and closer to the lake and the campsites r spread out... More

I drove up here from Steamboat and the drive was very nice. The visitor center is small but nice. If the weather had been better I would have cross country skied around the lake.
