Both Steamboat Lake and Pearl Lake have their own Colorado State Parks and are only a few miles apart on the same road out of Steamboat Springs. Steamboat Lake is bigger and perhaps more majestic, as you can see higher peaks. But is also has more people and is less attractive to me as a lake and park. Since there... More

The Tombstone Trail is a nice easy hike. The area around is beautiful to look at. The visitor's center is very nice. Saw nesting osprey, mountain bluebirds, hummingbirds. There are a couple of other trails but they aren't quite as scenic and end up taking you next to the road with no shade, it would be nice to have a... More

This is a truly beautiful and awesome park you must see! We walked the Tombstone Trail, which is very easy. Great views from this trail and a brochure with numbered points of interest. Ate our picnic lunch at one of the many picnic tables and a doe strolled 20 yards from us! We biked the Willow Creek Trail to the... More

Steamboat lake state is a piece of heaven on earth. In fact the entire area is a favorite. Must stop at the general store in Clark for ice cream

My wife and son and I, and members of my wife's family stayed up at pearl lake state park at the last weekend of may 2015. If you like peace and quite, it's the place to go. I recommend staying on the lower loop, it's a little more shaded and closer to the lake and the campsites r spread out... More

I drove up here from Steamboat and the drive was very nice. The visitor center is small but nice. If the weather had been better I would have cross country skied around the lake.

In winter and summer Steamboat Lake has days and days of fun to offer. Lakeside fun is pretty obvious in the summer, but don't count out the winter fun opportunities at Steamboat Lake. Ice fishing for trout is a great way to relax after several hard days on the ski slopes. And then there is the cross-country skiing and snow... More

We had a wonderful drive around the lake and country side. The lake was frozen over but really enjoyed the country. The mountain views were amazing and makes you want to live there.

We've visited a few times. Fishing is nothing special and it's pretty cold for water sports. Not as pretty as other places in Colorado
