The experience was not what was expected. You merely stand at the bar and taste test the types of wines. They had some bread squares only to mix with wine tasting. The wines were good however and we even bought a few bottles we liked. We recommend the Apple Wine!

The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey was a quiet little winery.  We had our wine tasting booked through RaftMasters to enjoy after our rafting trip.  When we arrived there was some confusion as to our reservations so it was a good thing that we had a printout of the email confirmation.  There was supposed to be a tour with the... We showed up at the tasting room about 30 minutes before they closed. The first thing she said was you know we are closing soon. They shuffled us down to the far end of that bar where there was no seating and no counter space really. Then a guy poured us wines as quickly as we could drink them with... More

The winery has extensive free wine tasting and charges an extra $2.00 to taste the most expensive reserves, which are worth the money. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

I have done wine tastings in many places from Europe to Washington State to Napa. This, by far, surpassed them all. The free tasting includes all of their wines (if you want) except for their reserve, which are $1 each to sample. Every wine I tried was great. Paul, who poured our wine, was hilarious and knowledgeable. This is a... More

Don't miss out on wine tasting here! Award-winning wines - lots of varieties for everyone's taste. Tara served us with beautiful presentation and knowledge about their wines . . . and not just that, the ambiance is truly and fully relaxing. Incredible gift shop for those that love to shop and buy goodies for home!

The combination of the abbey and the adjacent winery was very appealing. The winery was recommended and we thought it worth going 20+ miles out of our way to visit the abbey and the wine shop. In addition to a very nice wine selection, we found a very nice gift boutique.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They did not rush you along. The wines were good - not great - reasonably priced. It was fun listening to the history. Although I never found out the reason for the statue outside. The wine tasting is not in the Abbey itself, but a separate building off to the side. The Abbey... More

If you enjoy wine, you need to stop here! We visited during the balloon festival. So we had to purchase tickets for the wine tasting. I totally didn't mind that at all. They have a GREAT selection of whites abd reds. The gift shop sells lots of unique wine inspired gifts. Their Riesling is one of the best I've ever... More
