We visited the Winery at the Holy Cross Abbey. They have a wonderful gift shop there and a wide selection of wines to choose from. You can taste the wines before you buy. The staff there was very accommodating. A need to see place. We were disappointed because we wanted to tour the Abbey but it was not open.

Stopped by on the way to the Royal Gorge. Enjoyed the wine and attentive service in the tasting room. The gift shop has many interesting items. Note that the adjoining Holy Cross Abbey closed in 2006.

Wonderful evening! The winemaker's dinner is definitely on my list for repeat visit. We met wonderful people and the food wine pairings were spectacular!

We stopped by the Abbey on the way back to CO Springs from the Royal Gorge. I'm not sure it was worth the stop. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, but it felt like the staff was less than eager to have customers. The wine was fine, but the service was lacking. The gift shop was cute, but... More

We found this winery by looking on the internet for things to do in Canon City besides the Royal Gorge. This winery was very nice - the grounds were beautiful - clean bathrooms. Bethany was our counter server and was very knowledgeable about all of the wines offered. We worked our way from the whites down to the dessert wines.... More

This quaint Abbey and its annual Harvest Fest (this year was number 14) was delightful. The music was vibrant, the crafts and food and wine tastings and other festivities were great for the perfect fall weekend. You could not ask for better weather and a better group of people with which to "hang out". I did hear someone say it... More

Stopped here to do the wine tasting and left with 5 bottles. Great wines and knowledgable staff. Also got to take a walk thru tour of the abbey before we left.

This was an added tour after the jeep ride with Colorado Jeep tours. It is about a mile from them. They bring you back from the jeep tour and you must get to the Abbey on your own and show them the Colorado Jeep tour receipt. You get loads of wine to try but you also get plenty of cheeses,... Call us wine snobs. We live in the Finger Lakes region of NY and have done many tastings in the Napa Valley. We did the VIP tasting. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: pretty good wines; the riesling was excellent. The merlot was suprisingly great; merlot is usually OK but not spectacular. This was very tasty. the shop was... We have been going to the Abbey for years to purchase our stock of wine for our personal consumption and have raved about it to the Daveco Liquor store that also carries their wines. Once you try it you will be hooked. The winery carries lots of gift items and offers special tastings too. Tell the folks you came because... More
