Beautiful View from the Royal Gorge Bridge

Took the steam train below the Royal Gorge Bridge to the Tunnel Drive. It was a short trip, but worth it! Beautiful!

Since I have taken up hiking this must be one of the most serene and scenic trails I have seen. The geological banding that you walk through is breath taking. You may encounter a fellow walker or runner. The first 200 yards is a bit of a hump but as soon as you break onto the path it is a... More

I have been riding my bike, jogging this trail and is a beautiful trip. Take the kids, family, and enjoy the views and share the history of this area. Go to the end, as it takes you almost back down to the river. We start at the Duck Pond and run this all the way to the end of Tunnel... More

Tunnel Drive road is reached via 50 just around the bend (on the left side) as you go west from the Colorado Prison Museum. You drive about a half-mile and park. Then you walk about 2 miles out and 2 miles back. It is great for those who like to walk to get their exercise. We saw the Royal Gorge... More

Nice, well-kept trail. After a steep incline, the rest was flat . It had an awesome view of the canyon and river below. Approximately 2 miles out. Then turn around and return

Its a straight out and back, 2 miles either way. There are 2 tunnels along the way, one is very long and dark so bring a flashlight. The beginning of the trail is steep, though there is handicap parking at the top of the hill. The trail is mainly flat with great views of the gorge. Very little shade other... More

No motor vehicles are allowed in this area anymore. Great for walking or riding bikes. Trail does end and will have to turn around at the yellow gate. Approx. a mile in.

One of the locals recommended that we should see this trail...and we were glad we did! Canon City did well by making this part of its trail system. Although there is a short climb to begin the trail (handicapped parking is offered in the lot above the incline), the rest of the two mile trail is relatively flat and easy... More
