Beautiful drive and great views of Canon City. One way, some would find it a bit scary but I thought it was great. We did it during the day and again in the evening. A fun experience.

Have been over Skyline Drive countless times and still enjoy the views. It really isn't as narrow as you think it is, but for flatlanders it can be intimidating. Take your time, utilize the pull-offs to enjoy the views, look out for walkers and sight-seekers, and enjoy. Do NOT try to take an RV or trailer over this; the hairpin... More

If you have a fear of heights this may not appeal to you. If someone else can drive and you get up there, it is beautiful. Once you start you are committed to the journey, the only way down is to keep moving forward. I skydive and actually caught myself wondering if I had made a mistake on the way... More

Those were the words I couldn't banish from my thoughts as I crawled along Skyline Drive. Sadly for me, there was no turning around on this one-way drive along a very narrow ridge high over US50 with drop-offs on one or other or - most scary of all - both sides of the sliver of tarmac that passes for a... Take your time! The road is very narrow! But the view all the way across is absolutely beautiful. Don't miss this!

Nice drive and great view of the city. Best part is that it was free. Wish we would have had our Harley with us for this ride.

A great way to see Canon City from above. We live in Louisiana and the only hills we have are ant hills so to get to drive on top of mountains even if only for a short while was fun.

Be sure to take your time as road is narrow and one way. The dinosaur tracks are well marked and easily walked back to from a parking area. Can see great distances on both sides of road
