On July 4th 2014 my daughter and braved the half day run when the water was high and fast! Michelle was our pilot thru the run and the Team Lead as well. My past white water experience to date had been canoes (back of the canoe and in charge) on (state of) Arkansas rivers but about 20 minutes into this... More

This was the first trip rafting for my wife and my 8 yr. old son. I have been down the Numbers, Fractions and Royal Gorge, but needed a milder run for the families first trip. I booked the trip when the river was running about 6100 cfs. Much too dangerous for an 8 yr old. Look folks, the river can... More

This was mine and my husband's first time rafting, and I am so glad we did it with River Runners! River Runners is in a great location; they are right on the beach, so you're right there to get into the rafts; no bus shuttles and carrying rafts down to the water like we saw others have to do. They... More

Glad I had not read the scary reviews of boats flipping beforehand. We had a family from Germany in front two were non English speaking and one was 12 ... But our guide managed to communicate with them and get us all safely down the river. It was a beautiful trip ! I have double knee replacements and my two... More

We took my son's boy scout troop on an adventure in May. Had such a great time, we took the family out in June. Their put in is right on site, so there is no commute. They also have camping on site which makes it very easy to get up and get ready to run the river. Great time!

My family took the 2 hour float trip down Brown's Canyon. We launched the rafts from the beach at River Runners. Very professional operation, with pre trip safety instructions. Mikey was our guide. He is very experienced and provided lots of information about the land, river, and how to navigate the rapids. A lady in a different raft fell out... More

BOTTOM-LINE - Fun & Exciting, but: (1) Don't put a small child or non-swimmer on a raft in Class 3 rapids - regardless of what you are told by the staff! (2) The people working at the counters are 'salespeople', and the are eager to get your signatures on their waiver forms, and your credit cards. Don't let your guard... More

Hi Roger, I appreciate you sharing your rafting experience - thankfully no one was injured. Any time a raft flips it is scary, but our guides are trained to handle these types of situations and it sounds like they did a good job with the rescue. Even so, I understand the flip made this trip more exciting than what you... More

I took an all day Brown's Canyon raft trip on July 30, 2015. From the beginning, I had a bad feeling about the young guide. Those feelings were validated after he flipped the raft in the rapids ejecting everyone. I surfaced under the tipped raft just in time to catch some air in the air pocket. This was a very... More

Hi Joe, Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry you didn’t have a positive experience rafting with us due to the flip, but I’m glad no one was injured. River Runners does have one of the largest senior guide staffs on the river and even our first-year guides receive more than double the training hours required by Colorado Parks and... More

I was looking for something relaxing to take my daughter on where she could relax and not have to worry about paddling but could enjoy the water and scenery. River Runners far exceeded my expectations. I called ahead to see if I needed reservations for the Family Float and they said no, but arrive an hour early to complete paperwork... More
