This is a great stopping point on our way to the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs from Colorado Springs. Beautiful views for my friends to see where we were heading!

We went to one of the overlooks, there are a few, met nice folks, who took our pic. It was beautiful and a good introduction to our trip into Buena Vista.

We decided to head up to this spot last minute. As we were watching the sunset we thought we were going to get skunked as some clouds formed as the sun was setting. It was a little cool and breezy so we were about to leave, but then the colors started popping and it turned out to be beautiful.

Well, we decided to take a short trip in the neighboorhod and so we headed to Buena Vista since we have never been to the place. Close to the town, I notice a little sign indicating a Scenic Overview. I wasn't sure it still existed but as my husband was driving, I continued to look back and could see buildings.... More

Ah ha! I've done some investigating and have some good info on the Collegiate Peaks Overlook for you. It is on COUNTY Road 304 just north of its intersection with HWY 285. It is on the west part of the road, or on your right if you enter 304 from 285. Also, it's got a sign indicating its existence on... More

I highly recommend this scenic overlook for the great view! Mt. Princeton, Columbia, Oxford, and Yale are awesome and if the weather cooperates, you can see them so clearly!

The views of the Upper Arkansas River Valley are breathtaking. If you are in the area, this is a sight you do not want to miss. There is ample area to picnic and restrooms are also available.

This is a lovely stop to view the entire range of mountains! There are several picnic spots, benches and pull offs. There is also a gazebo that points out all the mountains you are viewing which is very helpful and great for educational purposes. A small fee is charged ($3) for staying but well worth a stop! Restrooms are also... More

The scenic overlook has several picnic tables, some of which are covered, that offer outstanding views of the Collegiate Peaks. This is a great place to watch the sunset.
