The springs are off the beaten path but worth a visit. While the facilities are older there's a kind of eclectic ambience that works. There's different temperature pools that are made from native stones. The Spa offers multiple treatments that we did not try. Be sure to bring your own towel as they charge $2 foretell rental plus a deposit.

This time of year is a great time to go up to most any Hot springs for healing and relaxation. CottonWood Hot Springs Inn and Spa did not disappoint. We stayed in the Hotel section once again. Room was quiet and had natural feeling about it, if you have a favorite robe I would bring it for the walk to... More

They have (5) different pools with various temperatures -it was a cold day about 6 degrees so it's pretty cold moving from one pool to the next and the water was a bit dirty in a couple of the pools but over-all very nice and it was only 18.00 per person for all day so we went back after lunch... Cottonwood hot springs are some of the best in Colorado. Beautiful setting, and the pools are just the right size, with excellent temperatures. Love soaking at Cottonwood. The lodge is good, but not great. The whole place has an unfinished air, as if they can't decide if they really want to move up in the world, or keep it a... More

After a windstorm, a mudslide, and a fire, and a very unpleasant experience with the insurance, it will take some time to recover, all linens are brand new. that you for your appreciation of the hot springs. And we love our funky mountain Lodge. More

We stop at Cottonwood pretty much every time we're in the area. Great place to soak and unwind after a hard hike. It's nothing fancy but much more reasonable than Mt. Princeton.

These are the best hot springs in Buena Vista. Fair price and very clean! Several pools to soak in and a variety of temperatures. We went to the other large hot springs up there but they don't even compare to Cottonwood hot springs. You can soak then get a massage in a breathtaking environment.

I stayed at this resort (the cabins) with a couple of old friends. Our cabin had a private pool ....but sadly they emptied it BEFORE our check out time! When mentioned to reception NO reimbursement was offered! NO TV NO radio....as that is how the owner wants it! I believe they should think MORE of the comfort of their customers!... More

It sounds like who ever said they were the " manager" doesn't have very good skills and did not handle that well, sounds like a bad day.The reason we don't offer T.V. is first because we are in a very small canyon and with very limited service. and then imagine if all 12 rooms had a T.V running. The hot... More

Having been to the hot springs in Pagosa Springs, CO many times, I was not overly impressed with the pools at Cottonwood Hot Springs. They were not as well done and there aren't many pools. At night they have clothing optional hours and people under 18 aren't admitted. Be sure to check that situation out before you drive up there... More

We are not clothing optional, we were for a short period of time before 9/11. Not since, We do not allow children after dark, that's true. Its simple because adults need quiet time. And we are a Hot Spring/Spa not a swimming pool. Sorry you didn't like my design, created to look as close to natural as possible. More

My husband and myself spent a day and night at Cottonwood Hot Springs just west of Buena Vista Colorado. We arrived in the early afternoon and even though our cabin was not ready for us to move into we were able to go into the pools. There are five pools of various sizes and temperatures. Three of the pools are... More

Although it was nice to soak in hot springs, this place was kinda dirty. The atmosphere was ok. The female dressing room was kinda gross...piles of hair in certain places, dirty q-tips and black floor. It was still relaxing. Clothes were required, which was nice. I think this place has so much potential, just not living up to it. I... More
