Cottonwood is delightfully rustic with clean rooms, charming cabins, and breathtaking views of the Collegiate Peaks. The private spring pools by the cabins were terrific for melting away the tensions of day-to-day life in the city. The community pool was too crowded for my liking, which made the pools by the cabins all the more appealing. As you soak, you... More

We visited the Cottonwood Hot Springs following a day of rigorous hiking with our 18 year old son. We arrived at 9:30 p.m. and, after paying the $15 per person entry fee, were directed to four large pools ranging in temperature from 110 to 94 degrees. After getting acclimated to the heat, we were able to really relax and unwind.... More

The dorm is a neat way to get to enjoy the springs and not be poor in a couple days. You can share lodging and cook and eat your own food, not having to eat out. Nice community room that can be used by all guests. pools smaller than other places, but nice.

This was our first visit to Cottonwood Hot Springs and it definetly won't be our last! We visited as part of our Mother's Day weekend get away and were not disappointed in the least! When we checked in at the desk they gave me a red rose for Mother's Day! That was a wonderful and unexpected treat! A small gesture... More

I have gone to Cottonwood for years. Recently I have noticed green algae in the water. Something I have never seen there before. Now the last 2 times I went , my girlfriend developed bacterial folliculitis and now I just got it Easter weekend from going there. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is found in hot tubs and spas/hot springs when the chlorine... More

It had been a decade since we last visited the Springs & we pleasantly surprised how much better the area had become. It wasn't terribly crowded on the Tuesday that we visited. There are small clean outdoor pools with different temps so guests moved around. It's not a kid place - like Mt Princeton. We won't wait so long to... More

In the last few years, if at all possible, I've started including hot springs visits on my to-do list when vacationing. I've been to some that are little more than an open air tub and others that are elaborate resorts. This tends to skirt the line in between the two quite nicely...there's an attached hotel, but is also open to... More

I've been visiting Cottonwood for several years now and enjoy the hot springs. On my last visit my family decided to rent out cabin number 4. I will never do that ever again. The unit was nearly $300 for the night but was in horrible condition. My teenager cut herself on a nail hanging out of the side of the... More

This place is nothing fancy, but very relaxing with nice natural hot spring pools. Tucked away in the mountains, this place has a nice rustic charm. As an adult without children, I love that they have strict rules about no kids after dark and no screaming/jumping/rowdiness!! If you are looking for a simple, relaxing experience, this place is great! If... More
