The staff is awesome and you can rent snow shoes here and take off straight from the center or drive a short distance to some alternative trails. It's a great value and a fun activity if you need a break from skiing for the day.

We stayed at a house within walking distance from the center, so we were able to visit a few times during the week we stayed in Breck. Our group included 5 adults and 2 kids (18 month old twins). One day, 4 of us adults and the kids went skiing. We were able to rent sleds/shuttles to ski with the... More

We needed a break from skiing for a day and decided to go here for showshoeing. Neither my wife nor I had been showshoeing before, but everyone was incredibly helpful (especially Sarah) and helped us in getting the right gear, planning the route, and showing us how to showshoe. It was a great experience and we would highly recommend to... More

We spent half a day cross country skiing and snowshoeing at BNC last week, and enjoyed our "rest" day from alpine skiing. The staff are friendly and very helpful (we had never snowshoed before), and the ski trails are extensive and well groomed. The only, admittedly minor, drawback is that the scenery, while picturesque, was certainly not spectacular: primarily pine... More

None of our group had cross country skied before. We called ahead and asked a bevy of questions (Mary was very helpful). Reservations weren't required and we had no trouble getting in (it was the slow season). The process was very quick. We provided our shoe sizes and were given a quick crash course on how everything worked and a... More

On a Girls Spring Break Vacay, we decided to try skiing. We were all 1st timers! We booked same day with Tarese, who was supper nice and accommodating. She allowed us to purchase the special for $38 for an early morning session. The center was easily accessible by free black route bus from the center of the city. The bus... More

I went for a day of snowshoeing. They had multiple trails, nice quality snowshoes and trekking poles. I was able to take a brak in between trails in the warm lodge where they also served hot food and had a nice fireplace. They warned of what to do if you saw a moose and I saw a huge one only... More

We spent the day learning cross country skiing with our Finnish friends who are expert skiers. Cross country skiing is very different than downhill but still fun. The staff helped outfit us with rentals and showed us how to ski. We completed a 10 k absolutely exhausted but happy!

This was my third time to visit the Nordic Center. We rented snowshoes and spent the day hiking the upper trails, which are well marked, with beautiful views and varied terrain. Pack a lunch and eat in one of the huts along the trail. You do have to drive from the center to the upper trails, but if you don't... More
