After working for Breck Stables for a few years (throughout high school and freshman year of college) I wanted to tell everyone what really goes on. My first year I worked there I received no training at all, this was not a problem for me because I have grown up with horses and have been riding since I was 7.... More

I had purchased 2 Groupon packages for our family of 9 to use while visiting Breckenridge. After doing some research I became nervous that using the Groupon was going to be difficult and that the staff would be rude. However, I was pleasantly surprised...when I called in to make the reservation I specified the date I was interested in, and... More

The horse ride was peaceful and fun. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The package we purchased included a dinner buffet which was delicious. I highly recommend Breckenridge Stables for all ages.

We had 7 children (ages 4-15) and two adults on a very nice ride. The horses were matched according to ability and age. The four year old had her own donkey that was led by the lead wrangler. Even the 7 year old had her own horse. We had one nervous rider and she was matched with an appropriate small... More

Our family of 8 enjoyed a peaceful trail ride on the same mountains that we ski during the winter. There were waterfalls and rushing streams. The staff was polite and helpful and everything went very smoothly. The horses were well matched to the riders and well cared for. We plan to do the 90 minute ride again next year. We... More

I made my reservation a month ago for the dinner trail ride. This was a birthday gift for my sister( who is from out of town). We had our whole day planned to show her around Breck and end out day with a fun horse back ride. The company calls the day before( when they require there guests to cancel... More

I really enjoy riding horses but riding at Breckenridge was kind of lame. First of all it is hard to find the place and get to it. You have to drive through a hotel parking lot to get to a gravel road that goes under a ski lift. Then you have to drive up the mountain two miles. The Stables... More

We had the sleigh ride without dinner. The staff was super friendly. The horses are adorable and friendly, we had a nice ride around and enjoyed the scenery! Also had a nice cup of hot cocoa!

While the sleigh and horses were nice, the short slow ride once around a part of a golf course was less than thrilling. Then the dinner in paper plates with a minimal buffet was very disappointing, to say the least. The tacky tip jar ON the serve yourself buffet table was just stupid. The worst for me was that the... But still enjoyed the experience a lot! Picked an absolutely perfect evening for a 6 p.m. sleighride. No wind and the pristine snow and fragrant pine, along with the hypnotic sound of the sleighbells on Bess and Barney, made for a lovely and pleasurable experience! The snow on the mountains close to sunset was just breathtaking and John was very... More
