Beautiful view of the Rockies with snow on them much of the year. Visiting during the summer months allows you to experience cooler weather than most of the country. This is due to the higher elevation, 9500 ft. During the fall, the view is just as beautiful with the Aspens leaves turning a beautiful golden yellow. With views like this... More

Great place to walk around and poke into shops in the evening, as long as it isn't extremely cold. There are a lot of places just off main street as well so keep an eye on the side streets.

as a visitor from London the age of the town did not impress What was impressive is the gusto of the place, colourful frontages, an amazing variety of shops, restaurants and coffee bars, The shops were a dizzying variety of tourist trash, amusing artifacts, antiques, food stuffs, beers and so on We spent a very pleasant day exploring the town... So I like living far enough away that I don't deal with hi season crowds, but close enough (25 min w/ no traffic) to pop in once during our stay for window shopping and a different , walkable restaurant scenes. Boutique-y and kitschy in places, but still fun if it's off season

Plenty of great shopping and food options. Only disappointment was lack of late night hours during non-ski time though slopes were scheduled to open ... even on weekend nights.

Great walking and shopping. Plenty of place to souvenirs and places to eat. Strolling along the Blue River is very relaxing.

We loved walking around in and out of all the unique hometown stores! For all my women shoppers out there I absolutely fell in love with a store called Vintage Sweet & Chic. A really cute vintage store with a boho/salty taste! Purchased an awesome 1970 FAUX fur coat that happen to fit perfectly when usually nothing does! lol. We... More

It's so fun to walk down Main Street to shop, eat and drink your way down the street. For most of the way, there are interesting shops on both sides. Walk up one way and down the other. Don't miss the restaurants and shops located on some of the nearby side streets.

Main Street has something for everyone! From tourist shops to boutiques from snack stops to great restaurants. We spent two afternoons walking the street and had a great time.
